I'm in the small blind, $10 NL game with Ad 5c.
7 players in the pot flop comes 5c Ah 2d
I check then the big blind bets 0.30 into the 0.60 pot
Everyone folds to me and I raise to 0.90
BB Calls and the turn comes Qc & I bet 2.00
The BB Raises to 4.75 & I went all in for 8.00
He turned over 4c 2c and the river was 8c

I think I should've folded but I just didn't feel like he had the straight...

Opinions?

Thing is, I never rarely limp into a pot when 7 people playing when I have unsuited cards or not a PP

Eliminate and collect the dead money !!!.....or prepare to be outdrawn.

Take the initiative. Raise or fold from the SB in this case.

preflop is fine.

Don't c/r the flop, just lead it.

Why are you asking if you overplayed the hand, he had a pair of 2s!!!!

Also, don't post results

What are the stack sizes of all the limpers? That is the first question I want to ask before I decide whether or not I like your flop play. I tend to lead out here as you will get action from a worse A.

On the turn you have put in 1/10 of your stack so do you feel players when get AI from this point with a worse hand than yours often? I imagine at this level they will so I like your turn play just fine.

My thoughts about the hand haven't changed. Seeing the results really shouldn't change the analysis of the hand. Although, it certainly could change the analysis of future hands.

You were toast from the git go.

There is no reason to believe he was playing 2-4, you got lucky by making a slow play decision that normally would be a bad thing. In this rare case, you got overly excited and it cost you. I do this often, BUT less often than I used to. It is a big leak in my game, that is taking a long time to fix.

The money was all in before the flush hit, but again, you were toast from the git go.

Sure, I'll give it a shot.

Two-pair hands are kinda funny because you have to target hands to get your value from. In this particular hand you are hoping to get your value from a pair of A's or other GS draws. Since this pot is very multiway I think it is a good play to bet out as you don't want to risk giving a free card to this many players and you have a strong hand. However, since I don't expect this flop to get checked through very often I can see the merits of putting in a check if you expect your opponents to bet with a weak A.

Now, on the turn your pot looks like it should be 8 left and you started with 9. This means you have put in 1/10 of your stack so you need to decide whether or not you will expect to make money if you end up AI. If you decide that it is you should make a big bet to try to head towards that goal. I figure you will get paid off with one pair at this level so I am for betting the turn. He may have a worse two pair or some sort of gutshot and if he will willing to put in money with those hands then you should bet. You put in a pot sized bet which is fine and will leave you with 1 more PSB on the river. When he raised you it sure does look funny since it indicates extreme strength but you should go ahead and move in. You shouldn't really expect to be ahead a ton here but you will see 53 and A3 and 44 type hands often enough, imo.

EDIT: I think it is worth noting that hands like this is why playing OOP sucks. I would actually not complete with this hand preflop.
