Did I overplay this AK on the flop?

$25 NLHE 9-handed.
I have $34.85 and get dealt As Kd in the CO. Only 1 limper when it gets to me and I raise to $1.25, the button min raises, one of the blinds calls and I call. The flop comes Ks 4s 7d and the pot is now $7.25. The blind checks and I bet $4.00 then the button raises to $10.00 and the blind folds. I shove and he calls with his last $10.00 and flips over pocket Aces. Bad move on my part?

The only thing I would have done different is probably bet at least a little more on the PF and see if he pushes...

Like you said he bet the minimum...I would have re-raised 3x to maybe 4x more...and if he pushed...I would have folded...but if he woulda called...I would have put him on possibly the same hand you had or QQ-JJ...

But you had top pair on the flop and you can't beat yourself up on it...he was slow playing the rockets, and he knew you hit the pair, so he was pushing...but you did nothing wrong...

Damn those ACES!!! :D

Yeah I don't know about 25max but at 10max, I four-bet AK all day, against a min-raise it won't cost you much and it should give you a lot of info about his hand if he comes over again, and in the end would've been a wee bit cheaper. Again this is coming from a 10max player on a bad streak though, hah.

AK against AA...hard to get away from, and easy to think you have the best hand on that flop.

This is varience.

Make notes on the player to see if he plays weaker hand differently if if so - how. You will then now next time.

Here was my thought process on this hand:
Min-raise pf=AA/KK/QQ/AK/JJ/AQ
With his raise on the flop I figured he had 3 hands I had beat, 1 I tie with and 2 that beat me. His min-raise disguised the hand and made me think it probably wasn't AA or KK. So I figured he was either making a frustrated raise with QQ or JJ which a lot of players seem to do at this limit or totally trapped me slow playing AA or KK. The way it was played I figured my shove was probably slightly a +EV play at these limits. How accurate would you say my thinking was? Also I didn't re-raise pf because I don't like to take a hand like AKo to war OOP.
