ON button I have AS kS blinds are $5 $10 cash game, I raise preflop $40 I get small blind out but big blind calls, and 4th potition calls, the flop is 6s jd 2s, everyone checks to me and I bet pot big blind flds and 4th pos calls the turn is a Jh, I bet pot he reraises all in, I would have to put in $600 to call on a draw I folded and he never showed, but said great fold, was it?

Longer answer, Yes, it was a very good fold.:p

There is no earthly reason to challenge at that point, you only have good looking air. He could have as much as quad J's, as many folks will smooth call pocket jacks. It is probable that he has trips, and possibly a boat, so your flush draw was in jeopardy.

easily the right decision to fold without a made hand and without odds to call

you made a bad play on the turn. the board paired and he called a big bet on an innocuous flop. you should check the turn and take the free card. if it's a spade and he goes all in, u fold and move on.
