Bronze Level
This is a 1-2 table (live poker not a casino the level of play is decent) where it normally takes 6-12 to see a flop.
I'm on the SB with 99. maybe 5 players limps in i make it an even 10 to see a flop there are 3 callers 4 ppl in the hand.
Flop is 2-5-7 rainbow. As the SB i am first to act and bet out $25. The next player, who i consider solid and dosn;t have a real stong presense at the table, calls the $25 and raises to $40 more. The table folds to me.
I decided that i was going to either go allin or fold (mayeb a call was appropiate to see how he reacted to the turn card). I had the most cash at the table ($1000?) and the player had about $300 to start the hand.
I decided to fold the overpair. I figured it was just as likly he had a set as top pair with a strong kicker and i folded.
I've been replaying the hand in my mind the last few days and wanted to see what you guys thought.
i feel i misplayed the hand and the reraise was a defensive bet with top pair
