Nice result. If Solucka (BB) is willing to put so much money in the middle with such a marginal hand (a hand which I would have mucked pre-flop), then most likely, the results would be the same, no matter how you played this hand.

However, since you asked, here is how I would have played your hand, in the absence of any other reads on your opponents.

Pre-flop, you need to be 3-betting such a strong hand as AAxx ds.

On the flop, the only hand which beats you here is 25xx, and if villain has that hand and is raising it pre-, then he needs to be locked up hehe.

I like your flop bet, as information to see where you are in the hand. With top set, you are betting for value but also pushing out club and straight draws.

Villain's reraise on the flop with middle set is just spewy.

On the turn, I don't like your check. You need to be shoving here, with the top set and the nut flush draw.

You're welcome.

There are a few of us Omahans here ;)

Not really. If he's raising 25 pre-flop, then he's a maniac and there's not much you can do about him anyway.

With the nut flush draw on the turn, and the top set, I think you have to get it all in there.

I've actually never played live, never really had the inclination to do so, but Daytona is a great place and not too far from me. ;)

I would have also 3bet this hand pre flop as with such a strong hand i don't mind putting more money in the pot pre flop.

After hitting top set on the flop we should not mind getting raised as there is a good chance that we still have the best hand so we should definitely call while some might even re raise, coming over the top with a 4bet.

Definitely not going anywhere on the turn and agree with bear that we should take the initiative and get our money in ourselves. Anyways nice hand.:p

Ill go for isolation preflop and reraise something like $15-$20.

You are so lucky he has no 2 in his hand.

Thinking about pre-flop, why 3-bet here? I understand the logic of isolating the raiser, seeing a flop heads up with initiative, and then having a good deal of fold equity when we 3-bet many many dry flops, as well as flops that legit hit our hand.

However, what about flat (as done). Our hand is not quite ultra premium, but we have AAxx, as well as double suited A and two broadway cards. The dangler sucks, but we have a pretty good chance of hitting nuts or nut draw on the flop. Plus, we will be sitting on nut str8 if it turns out to be a broadway-type flop. If we flat and then hit the flop, then we can be betting the nuts with more players and a larger pot. If flat and then we whiff, then we likely would have been better off 3-betting with c-bet, but it is a small pot. So, flatting feels like it will either win a big pot, or easily walk away from a small one?

Honestly, post-flop I would have called my hand nuts (top set). I know that there is a potential wheel, but who is raising 25XX? I guess if it is 2345 double suited, maybe A235 - something like that. But I think it has to be a positive EV play to consider the set of A's nuts? Is that a leak?

Nice hand. Interested to hear thoughts.
