I'm pretty sure I played this rather poorly, although I end up winning the hand through no fault of my own.
Should I bet more on the flop, cause it gets kinda dangerous with the turned flush card as I only hold a Jack high flush.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Pretty scary board by the end for a top-pair hand. If he had something like K/Q or J/Q, there's no way he's calling such a big bet.
With straight and flush possibilities on the board, he's got to be a little wary. I think he put you on trip-10's and folded.

Of course, if he had a 10 at this point he'd probably couldn't see past his hand and would have called.

I'd have value bet the river. If he has a bigger flush (unlikely) or a full house (unlikely) then he's shoving and you're doomed to lose anyway.
If he has the K/Q or J/Q you're apt to squeeze a little more out of him.
If he has trip-10's or a lower flush he'll probably respond by shoving, so you'll get all his chips in anyway.
If he's was drawing and missed he'll fold the little bet, and while you *still* don't get any more money you gain a bit of knowledge on him and can note that he likes to draw.

You want their stacks, or as much as you can get of them here.

Most of the time these days I'm gonna bet these like I want to keep everyone in. That means at least a min bet on the flop before any action. I want them to think I flopped middle or low pair, and a min be often suggests that. MP3's 40 chip bet looks like a steal attempt, but might be top pair. Sweet.

I want to let MP3 guide the betting till a river bump here. Yes its possible he's sitting there with the nut flush draw, just as likely he's sitting KJ. Most likely he's sitting Qx or AT (IMO). 2 pair is a possibility.

Where you checked the flop, and bet the turn, I might min bet the flop and check the turn. The river pair on the board is my biggest concern. QT is very popular this week, and a boat is not out of the question

Giving MP3 every chance to bluff at this hand. If he shows the bigger or nut flush, or a boat, so be it.

In your position I would have led out on the flop for about 1/2 of the pot. This is because a check raise will scare a lot of hands away. By leading out you're going to get called by a lot of time by 2 or all 3 players, making the pot nice and juicy. Then, no matter what card comes on the turn, check raise. The second bet will get you folds a lot of times and that's no fun when you have the nuts. Hope for someone to call your turn raise and milk them on the river, unless a fullhouse is very likely (board 8TQTQ, for example). I don't think you played it badly though, the cards that fell just weren't right. Flush on turn is going to scare away top pair hands and the second T on the river is going to scare them even more. Not your fault, if a Q comes you're going to get called a lot.

Maybe you should have bet just $2 and no all-in, that move scared him away... not with the flush on the board.. he put you on Q something at the flop, but on the river he thinked u had at least the 10 (maybe full house) and he just had AQ: TPTK his hand was strong enough to keep on the hand but no strong enough to raise.

Thanks for the responses guys, I realize now that I don't spend enough time thinking about what the other guy could have.

I probably act too much on instinct and not enough on reason.

Thanks again, I heard some good things on this thread!

Back in November, at All Africa (south africa's biggest tourney) a mate of mine flopped broadway with 2 people in the hand, being first to act, he shoved and both players called, one with TPTK the other with a set.

He landed up coming second and winning half a million rand and a seat to the wsop.

This however wont happen often because you might not get the callers, but according to him, his thinking was that he was hoping that both people would think he was on a draw because no one shoves all in with the nuts when they are first to act right? it worked.

I would have check raised the turn to try and get max value, other than that, be happy, you won!

To me your shove on the river looks like "OMG I HAVE 3 TENS NOW I'M ALL IN BUDDY HAHAHAHAHAHAH". I know the pot is almost 8 dollars so your bet makes sense but I probably would've bet like $3 or $4 to try and get some value out of it. You played it fine though.
