I think what hurt you most in this hand was being OOP. Your reraise PF was the correct and necessary play, IMO. The amount of the reraise is also fine. I think your c-bet is also good, $5.65 in a $8.60 pot, a good amount for this type of bet and not big enough to pot commit you.

As for the rest of this hand, his strong reraise certainly should raise a red flag. Its impossible for me to give an opinion on this w/o knowing table conditions and having a read on this player, so I can't say I would have folded or shoved as you did. After his reraise, you weren't pot committed, so the decision as to what to do rests mainly on your read of this villain.

I guess that means the answer to your question is yes, there are circumstances where you can fold this. That doesn't imply that you should have folded here, as I said, I believe that's impossible to answer w/o being at that table.

I see you point joeeagles. Yeah I know that untill I shove, I made the right play. At the moment and after having played the specific hand, I believe i made a mistake... This guy was tight at the beginning of the session and became more loose as the time was passing by , playing more marginal hands. I think I made a mistake there but inexperience didn't allow me to fold such a good pair. Anyway, I ll try to fix this in following plays when I feel that I m behind on the flop with nice pocket cards. Thanks for your thoughts.

its tough but the best part about online poker is for the most part its one of the most obvious games, people just always think they are gettin bluffed. He was repping the trips, no reason to think he had anything else because he would have re-raised you with a higher PP pf and he wouldnt have raised with an a-k or a-q on the flop. I think its an obvious fold, just think of all those bad beat stories, thats what I do and i remember all I have in this situation is a pair of queens, and with that board a pair of queens isnt really that powerful imo.

I fold here about 95% of the time, unless I have AMAZING read that tells me he has nothing, and I dont care what you say, its obvious he has trips and you just need to laydown the b*tches and keep the money you still have.

I think when he min-raises, you have to ask yourself what you can beat. You can't beat KK, AA, 10-x, or 44. You can beat JJ, 22-99. Which of those hands would he min-raise with? Not 22-99. Probably smooth call with JJ. Tough laydown, but you can do it here. However, this guy plays too loose pre-flop. Reload and add him to your "friend" list and play more with him. He's your ATM.

The shove was poor play to be honest, i could even understand a call but after his reraise what did you think he had?

From his call on your raise preflop i could only see his reraise being strength, for him to exactly double 5.65 shows he had carefully calculated his move -he was certain of being ahead.
