3-bet/Cap on 3rd street for 2 reasons:

1) Players will put you on split K's, since you should play them the same way.
2) There are a ton of low cards showing, and you want to make it very expensive for them to draw to a split/scoop.

On 5th, the low draw (Matuka) hits good and is possibly freerolling you there, so I like trying to use him as a check/raise (to make the rest of the field call two bets cold). Also, your full house cards are dying pretty quick, so we need to eliminate other players who are drawing to high against you.

Don't raise on 7th after the low raises for sure.

Generally, you played this hand backwards. Rolled up high trips have the most value on early streets, but lose value later. You played them the opposite, by raising later & calling earlier to let more hands in. I'm not a fan of how this hand went down. You lost the high because one player improved to a full house.

BTW - Top off your stack, you need to be able to cap every street.

EDIT - Also, hide the results. A stud hand coverter wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I think you're getting the action mixed up - he bet and raised every single opportunity possible, both early and late. I do agree with just flatting 7th.

You had to be more aggestive on the 3/4/5 cards. You make a very small raises there. There is already a nice pot after card 4 and 5, so push harder there. Something like $1,25. Pll with a draw wouldn't call that easy if they can now.

Hey, thanks all for the advice, it was one of those bad beats, at a very loose table, no one would fold, but at least I just got back all the money I lost a few minutes ago.

It's fixed limit :)

*Contemplates the idea of NL Stud8*

*Brain explodes*

As for the OP, think it's mostly been said above - can't argue with the play on the early streets, but probably just flat call seventh.

NO! You don't want NL Stud. It's like NL Omaha H/L. You're better off playing Keno.

As for the hand, You played it fine. In stud, you jam the pot when you have a great hand like that.
