Did I play it correctly or should I have been more conservative and not bet the pot with TPTK?

dude, this is just poker. you made TPTK, bet the flop like you're supposed to and he hit a set. Nothing you could do. Just be glad that villian didnt have more money on the table.

<sarcasm>The way he clicked his mouse to call that 30 cents, it was completely obvious that he had pocket fives</sarcasm>

standard bet. you were getting hands like 67 and 23 and 36 and 2 spades that limped in, out.

I'm going to say something I feel applies to quite a few hands posted here recently.

Just because you lost a hand does not necessarily mean you played it badly or "did something wrong", even if you got your money in while trailing.

Of course it's probably better to be somewhat paranoid about playing badly than over-complacent and thinking you're God's gift to poker, but sometimes you're going to lose money even playing optimally.

Read my signature, but anyway since your opponent was shortstacked there was nothing you could do.

I would like to see what would have happened if he had a bigger stack than yours and he reraised you all in.
You need to take care when you hold TPTK, but on this exactly particular situation there was nothing else you could do.

Try to remember very well what Chris said. Generally people try to review and analyze their hands when they lose. That´s great, but you should worry more about how you´re playing when you get lucky and win. Remember that the only thing that matters is the long run.
If you still can´t handle bad beats, try reading this or this (i can send you this one by email).

You could've bet less, but it wouldn't matter in Harrington's case because he would've went all in, and you would've had great odds. But if one of the other stacks had a set or AA/KK you could've saved yourself money by betting less to see where you were at.

You played this perfect.

He flopped a set, happens once in a blue moon.

Actually had that happen to me today... something like

3K4 I had KJ other guyraised every time and flips over trip 3's at the end.

Just a bummer

In a strange way you're quite lucky. Harrington, with only $2.25, caught the set. If he'd had more cash this would've cost you more.
