Hero checks, Villain 2 bets $0.90, Hero calls $0.90.

RIVER; [AH, KD, KS, 5H, 2D]
Hero checks, VIllain bets $10.41 and is all-in, Hero calls $6.75 and is all-in.

Showdown
Hero shows [AS, QD]
Villain 2 shows [AD, KC]
Villain 2 wins $15.43 from the main pot with full house.

I lost my whole stack here. I just genuinely thought he was bluffing, i woudlnt expect a-k to be betting pot on the turn because its folding out so many hands and from a very big stack i figured he was experienced and knew what he was doing. Also i just didnt think k-q, k-j would be opening 4x utg but know i figured that is very possible.

I know youre probably going to say i should have folded and i will except that but thing like this just keep happening, i lost my stack with a queen high flush vs a ace high flush when he just bet 10x the pot on the river without betting before. I just keep calling off these things with logic that i come up with but i always turn out to be wrong.

Any Help?????

I'd fold if I have no info on the villain and OOP. My analysis could be wrong but when villain bets turn, it narrows your calling range to 55, TT+(Maybe 77+ depending on player type), Ax and Kx. When he bombs the river, it's quite obvious that he has 55(since you don't have a 5) or a K( unless you have info/stats that might state otherwise) and trying to get max value from your possible TPGK, weaker Kx or 55. Its possible he may have 22 and rivered a full house. His range at river is AA,AK,Kx,55 and maybe 22 all of which beats you. There's not many hands that you beat that can play this way. You only beat AJ and worst. It's possible he may be overplaying TP and medium PP this way but like I said before, with no info on the villain and being OOP, I am more inclined to fold. 5NL players mostly are quite straightforward with their nut hands.

Thanks im just struggling to get to grips with how straightforward people at these stakes play. I just keep overthinking things and losing my whole stack which is what im trying really hard to stop doing but its hard and i just want to show that im a great player by making hero calls

think about your range, you can also have Kx in your range. would you raise all of them, for example KJ on the turn? or would you check / call it..

I dont think u would raise it as he still has AA AK in his range so even KQ is a call on turn for you, so therefore he overbets vs your range with K in it, so you can fold an A.

Especially to massive overbet like this :) but we all do this and we learn this way :p

I know the feeling. Thinking to yourself......"Why is he betting soooo much." I have come to learn that in micro stakes, HUGE bets are rarely bluffs. (If you think from his perspective........this guy is calling all of my bets so far, so he must have at least an A and probably a K. Once he puts you on a K, he thinks you will call any bet. So that huge overbet isn't as crazy as it seems.
Overall.........Huge bets are RARELY bluffs at small stakes.
Good Luck.
