Thinking in the hand:
Preflop: I thought preflop was pretty standard when he raises I have QQ so I 3bet his open and he flats.
Flop: Since I'm OOP I decide to go for a check/call despite 3betting preflop because it's going to be hard to continue in the hand if I bet and he raises me on the flop. I didnt want to get outplayed knowing he doesn't have to have an ace in his hand ATM.
Turn: The flop checks through and turning a set is one of the best cards in the deck despite a straight draw coming in because now I beat all his top-pair hands that checked back the flop and if he has some type of two pair I can get a lot of chips in the middle by the river. This causes me to lead out for a bet of around 3/4 the pot.
River: After he calls the turn I put him on lots of Ax top pair hands that check back the flop and even some two pair hands that are trying to be tricky. This led me to overbet the river to try and put a lot of pressure on those hands and hope he makes a bad decision by calling. Now when he raises I become really confused and go into the tank because it made absolutely no sense in my head. I couldn't think of a hand that could flat call a three bet preflop, check back the flop, flat call the turn, then shove the river that had me beat. The nine on the river didn't change much because the only hand that could have got there that beats me is T8 and I don't think it's possible for that hand to get to the river. I ruled KT out of his range because i also didn't think that hand could call a three-bet preflop. After I tanked I figured there were too many combos of hands I had beat, and I was already pot committed so I called.
I wanted to know if there were some flaws in my thinking, and If i played this hand OK.
