The only thing by not looking at results first is that you should have reraised on the flop. You have a full house and want to get as much as you can in the pot. I don't think many will fold for that $1 more with a pot that big.

You were not going to shake the KK on the flop and he just caught his card on the turn. I just think it is a case of monster vs monster and yours happened to be the loser.

i think it couldve gone either way with the flop.
He disguised his hand very well with his smooth call, and had it not been for that lucky turn spike, it wouldve been a monster pot for him.
Though i also agree, raising is a very legit option too - they say never to slowplay in limit...
as for the rest of the play, i would've capped the river, but aside from that it looks good to me

I have heard this said many a time but sometimes a slow play is very appealing. On a passive table with a monster hand on the flop, it's nice to hide behind a raise until the turn and get the bets in after the stakes have doubled. In this case though, the pre-flop raise meant that slow-playing wasn't necessary as you could be pretty much certain that at least one player would see you as far as the turn.

I've not heard the quote of never SP in a limit game...but I would disagree with it. With a monster hand, I think it is okay to SP if you expect to gain more value by doing so...but it had better be a real monster. (Which I believe this hand was...nuts on the flop with great odds to win).

I see nothing wrong with your play on this hand. I agree with capping on the river (at a low limit table) unless you had an awesome read to believe that the reraiser actually held one of the three hands that could beat you (KK, TT or 33).

So, I would change the rule to "almost never slowplay in a limit game".

I would have raised preflop and after the flop. Jam the pot with a flop like that!

raising the flop disguises your hand more than smooth calling and check-raising the turn.

I think you played in just about perfect. that is just one of those bad beats we all hate to get. I would have played it the same way.

I want to correct myself before someone else does. This is the SECOND BEST hand on the flop. 33 would obviously be the flop nuts. And I still think the play was fine.
