Had unfortunate hands happen later. All in all another horrible day at 10nl. I have been just the worst player this year on ACR. I cant win any draws or big hands at all. It is just brutal.

Thanks for sharing your hands.

Some hands you won and some you lost , Me personally thing that your hands with set of sixes and nines full of aces were pure bad luck.

keep on playing :)

I disagree that Hand #3 (set of sixes) was pure bad luck. It was bad play. First, flopping at set at 10nl is not a time to slow-play. You want to bet that flop, especially with two broadway cards on it. You are hoping that the flop hit someone hard enough to make some money, but you also have to charge the draws. You could try for the check-raise, but I prefer donking out here. The fact that it is a 3-way flop will decrease the c-bet frequency of many players. The CO appears aggressive and might even see this as a weak-steal attempt and play back at you.

Move the betting amounts up one street. Does T-9 call $0.53 on the flop? Maybe. Do they call again when it's $2.00 on the turn? It is possible, but not as likely. They pick up a flush-draw with their gut-shot, but it is expensive to see the river.

As played, when you bet the river and get shoved on (basically for a pot sized shove), what hands do you put them on? Do you think they're doing this with just a pair? How often do you see them doing this with two pair hands? How often does Ace-10 show up here? How often is this QQ? Of all the reasonable 2 pair or better hands, you're losing to about 60% of them, and I really think at least 50% of the time they just call with two pair. That means you're losing to 67% of the shove range here. Basically, it's hard to put him on a raising hand range that makes calling a good idea. Large river bets/raises at 10nl are virtually never bluffs. It comes down to knowing if this is someone who over-values two pair, or not. You have 3.2k hands with them, so only you could answer it.

Hand #13 there are similar issues with. You are heads-up on the flop, so I don't mind checking to the pre-flop raiser. I would like to check-raise this spot. I don't want a heart to come and slow down my action. This is also a good hand to show up with that gives credit to the other times I am check raising the flop when defending my blind.

As played, I am calling the turn. Then I probably check-call the river for a reasonable bet. I expect the BTN will bet just about every A-x hand they have. I expect to beat most of those hands. I don't bet because I fold out the worst of those hands and all bluffs. I certainly don't bet twice the size of the pot into them, as I am just value-towning myself against A-J, A-5, and J-J while the rest of his range can safely fold. Even if they sometimes call with AK, I still show a loss against their calling range with such a huge shove here.

Basically, if they have an Ace or better, they will bet again. They will also sometimes bet without an Ace, if we check. If they have Ace-4 and we shove like this, they're going to have to fold.

For a better analysis, you might not want to include the results. Otherwise you may get some biased responses since we already know what they had.

1. KJo
Fold to the preflop 3-bet. Villain has solid stats, so he's going to have you dominated here. The best preflop advice I can give you is: don't call 3-bets out-of-position with marginal hands!!!
As played, flop is fine with a big draw.
Despite improving to the 2nd nut flush draw, I'm inclined to fold. Even if we hit, it'll be difficult to extract value from our hand against a likely thinking player. We might not have the implied odds, and if he has the As, we're in even bigger trouble. Fold the turn.

2. ATs
Nice hand.
Flop donk usually is a weak hand (3x or Tx or straight/flush draw). We're just weak enough not to be able to raise for value here. With Qx, I'd raise the donk.
No value in betting the river.

3. 66
Preflop is meh. I don't always call raises with small pocket pairs in the SB precisely because being out-of-position will make it harder to extract value if we hit.
Flop: leading is fine to trap BB in the middle, but going for a check/raise is good too.
Turn is good after the flop check-through.
This villain seems decent, so you might want to fold to the river shove. A shove on the river is almost never a bluff, and AT and T9 got there. I doubt he'd be overplaying QJ here.

4. T9s
Preflop is good. Against an UTG open, the risk of getting 4-bet is too great to raise here, and we have a good disguised hand that is rarely going to be dominated by villain's range.
Flop bet is good. Once he checks, you can usually put him on whiffed overcards (AJ+/KQ).
Turn is good. We improve to top pair and now have 17! outs to improve to the (near-)nuts should we not have the best hand now.
Check the river through. Little value in betting here, even though we have the best hand most of the time. We're not getting a lot of calls by worse hands (he's not calling A-high here).
Seeing his hand, his line is odd here. Do you have a history of overplaying your hand? Villain's stats seem decent, so it's strange that he plays a hand this strong so passively. Then again, that's not a good flop for him, so yeah, check the river through.

5. AJo
Nice hand.
His turn bet for information is LOL-worthy. You might flat it, but it's better to raise, since our TPTK is still vulnerable to plenty of river cards.
He likely had a small pocket pair here.

6. A8s
Preflop and flop are fine.
On the turn I'd raise a little bigger. They're getting 3.5-to-1 on a call now, which is almost correct odds for their draws. Make it 2$ and they're getting less than 3-to-1 making a call a big mistake.
I'm betting a bit smaller on the river (1.8-2$) to get more calls, but this is fine.

7. 66
Do you have a read that he calls to the river often but folds easily to a 3-barrel?
His stats look somewhat station-y. Don't bluff calling stations.
Preflop is fine to isolate, but you could conceivably just complete to set-mine here.
As played, the c-bet on a board like that is fine, but I'm giving up when called.
I think you got lucky here. Seems spewy.
Having said that, I've done the same myself.

8. AA
I play it straight and 4-bet preflop. You have some history with villain, though, so just flatting is fine.
Postflop is all fine, imo. Whatever gets the money in on a low board is going to be good against a suspected overpair (that we have crushed). You could also raise the flop, but shoving the turn looks more bluffy and could get more calls.
Nice hand.
Whatever line you take isn't going to differ much in EV, though. Just get it in whenever.

9. KQo
Very small sample size, but CO seems tight. Preflop is meh. You could fold and wait for a better spot, since you'll be OOP the entire hand.
I don't like the flop donk. It allows villain to play his hand perfectly.
Your turn line is far too too strong for the hand you have. And if you do this, you need to raise more than the minimum. This all reaks of Fancy Play Syndrome. Don't do that vs an unknown.
I think you pulled ahead on the river. Unless he had a massive draw with AdJd or KJ or something, it's quite possible he had AA/KK here. Why not bet out? After your weird line, if you check here, he's only betting out if he has you beat. Which is probably never.

10. KTo
Nice hand.
What does his flop donk mean? You have enough hands on him to know, imo.
I could see raising the donk vs an unknown, but I'm not sure here. His stats look decent, so this could be stronger than just middle pair or so.
River card is very bad, I'm folding to a bet here. No reason to bluff either.
Make a note that he donks a flopped set on a reasonably dry board.

11. A4s
This is fine, especially with the amount of hands you have on villain. You could just bet the turn as well, but checking it through isn't going to lose a lot of value or equity here. We'd hate life if the river was a 2 or J, though.

12. A8o
You could arguably let it go once he raises the turn. His stats look decent, and people at these stakes rarely bluff in a spot like this. His raise means he doesn't fear the A. Given our poor kicker, we could let it go. Since it's blind vs blind, calling down is fine as well.
Personally, I check the turn, planning to call down if he bets out, or betting the river if the turn checks through.
He missed value on the river. You might make a note that he probably doesn't make thin value bets on the river. Gives you more incentive to fold to a river bet in the future vs him.

13. 99
Raise the flop or the turn, imo. I prefer raising the flop.
I don't like your overbet on the river, you're rarely getting a call (unless you're certain he has an A that he's not letting go of). There are better ways to get it in here, all of them involving raising earlier.
This hand is a total cooler and if you're not getting stacked here, you're doing it wrong, imo.

I love your analysis vinnie. Spot on! I'm going to make a point of reading your hand analysis comments from now on. BTW, is that a Vizsla in your pic? We love the breed having owned three in years gone by.

I love your analysis vinnie. Spot on! I'm going to make a point of reading your hand analysis comments from now on. BTW, is that a Vizsla in your pic? We love the breed having owned three in years gone by.

I can totally see that he looks like a Vizsla, but he's a Dachshund-Bulldog mix. He has the face of a Dachshund, but the big thick body of a bulldog. People mistake him for an obese Dachshund all the time when they see him walking.

I do agree with TimovieMan's thoughts on the second hand. We could raise the turn here for more value. And, I agree that we have to go broke on the river (especially if we have raised). I don't know if I would check-call a 2xPot shove on the river, but I don't think it's a mistake to call it with our hand so strong and under-represented here. The only thing that makes me hesitate to call it is that I tend to use the "overbet river shove" as a value bet only at the micros. I'm just never bluffing there, so I doubt it's a bluff. I also am not doing it with only trips. It's going to be a big full-house/quads on this board when I shove like that. Generally, I like it better with straights because people tend to read them weaker. And, I prefer to be the one in position (as we already know our opponent doesn't intend to bluff after they check to us).

I appreciate the enthusiasm for my analysis, but I'm often wrong. Don't assume I am so pro. I just explain what I would do and what I think. I've been proven that my ranges and ideas of how they will respond have been wrong many times. Like my comment above, I think the set of 9s should be played differently than my original thoughts. That happens a lot when I read hand discussions. I have played a lot of micros, so I do have some ideas of what happens there.

I'm also not playing any hold'em at the moment. I've started really working on my PLO game. I changed my filters on Bovada to only show Omaha tables, to avoid the temptation to play hold'em. After years, literally, of saying that I am going to learn PLO, I have finally decided to work on it. I wish I had earlier. It is helping me a lot with reading board texture and interpreting large ranges. Most of the hands I post, or talk about, will probably be in that game.

In the first hand, KJo is a loose open from UTG +1. You should then fold to the 3 bet.

I like Hero's decision to check his set of 6s in hand #3. Betting OOP is strong in a 3-way pot and a pair of Js may fold right there. If we check, very often our opponents will bet their top, middle and under pairs. Not only that, they will often semi bluff their OESD's and try and take the pot right there. Giving themselves one more way to win.

Checking OOP is fine. So many c-betters out there these days, it's rare a flop like that is checked around. Nobody will see an OOP bet as a steal. It looks like someone protecting their hand and betting for value.

My issue is the bet size on the turn. After everything was checked around on the flop and since you didn't show any strength on the flop a bet of approximately 75-80% of the pot is in order on the turn. It takes away odds for any straights and flush draws. Plus, your set is very well disguised and could get paid by hand like 1010 or Jx.

The river seems like an easy fold. Too often the straight is there. Not sure how you make the call there.

Way too many hands

There isn't a whole lot can ass at this point, but I'd suggest breaking all those hands up into multiple posts. Makes it too difficult to discuss in detail without putting up a TL;DR post.

I don't like this. The BTN's stats indicate a likely TAG, and if he really is, then the majority of that PFR percentage should be late position steals or semi-steals. Here, I would repop from the SB with a hand that's likely way ahead of his range (unless I knew otherwise).

Yeah, you have TP2K but it's on a very dangerous, drawy board that's likely to hit the BTN's opening range. The flop play is hideous. What does a check/min-raise hope to accomplish here? (A,K) (A,Q) (A,J) (A,T) ain't goin' anywhere. Neither is (9,8) or even (T,9). I would want to take this one to showdown as cheaply as possible. Even hitting a cowboy here is likely to make a 2nd best hand that'll be expensive. I would want to play this: c/c, c/c, c/c unless the vill bombs the turn or river. If he doesn't have anything, then why stop him from barrelling? If he has you crushed, hope to limit the loss as much as possible.

Don't like this one either. UTG's stats indicate a TAG whose play is on the loose side. I would drop a (Q,J-o) here. I don't like playing massively RIO hands against a UTG raiser whose likely opening range is going to have (Q,J) dominated. In this scenario I'd rather have (7,6) as it plays well post, and (Q,J) is likely to leave you in a spot where you're just pure guessing. TP3K is just such a spot.

As with the previous hand, if I found myself in this situation, I'd try to take this one to showdown on the cheap. That means check it down.

For the previous two hands, consider yourself lucky you didn't get yourself stacked.

I'm beginning to sense a pattern here: you have a weakness for RIO hands. (A,7-o) is not playable OOP and behind a 9x open after an open limp. Let CO's iso-raise work here. Fold.

Hand 4

Another likely steal situation and you don't 4! what's very likely the best hand, especially after SB's extremely weak 3!, and especially when we know SB is a massive fish that'll pursue miracle runner, runner draws, and he isn't even drawing to the nuts! I would want to put the hurt on him, and I would definitely repop, and make it a pretty good sized repop: take it to 1.10 here. You likely have both vills dominated, and the big repop adds credibility to your c-bet, and you should definitely be c-betting this flop: it's dryer than the Mojave in July, and a king is well within your range. C-bet and take it down, unless one of the vills actually has a king. If Mr. Fish wants to chase, make him pay dearly for the privilege.

Everything is fine up until the flop. What does a c/r here accomplish? You missed the set, and that board's very dry. The only likely draw is (7,6) and is it likely UTG has that hand? Raising here is just donating to (A,A) (K,K) (A,K). The only hands you run off are possibly (Q,Q) (J,J) or (T,T). If he missed, then why take him out of the lead? Let him bluff another street.

On the turn you get lucky and hit gin, so why check? You already made that ill advised c/r on the flop, so why not keep beting? Let him think you had kings, and keep repping a king.

It looks like you lost value here, first by not leading out on the turn, and by under betting the river. If he'll call for 2.40 at this point, he'll sure call for 3.01, or even more. Make it 4.00 here. If you think he'll call a river jam, then slam it in

Just hideous. (2s, Qd, Qs) is an all or nothing flop. The c-bet was good here, as they won't be able to continue without hitting that flop. However, you got two callers. Yeah, it looks tempting as your opponents can't have (As, Ks) or (As, Qs) here, but that leaves a lot of (A,x-s) and (Q,x) still in play. Two callers on that flop means hit the brakes.

Another likely steal situation where you should have been repopping. Lead this flop: you're ahead of all queens but (A,Q) and crushed by only (A,A). With two diamonds on board, you definitely don't want to be giving any freebies here.

Well played. The only thing I might've done differently is bomb the turn after the six rolled off, as it doesn't really change anything. If the vill had the nut end with a (7,5) oh well... Otherwise, this looks like trips that hit. You don't want him having a cheap look at the river where he might bink and draw out.

Missed a c-bet on a dry board where you could easily rep an ace. If the c-bet was called, give it up. If you're gonna delay c-bet, make it smaller. If he'll fold for 60, he'll fold for 40 or 45.

The set mine didn't work. On the flop, a pair of tens is the same as a pair of deuces: likely just a two-out draw against what looks like aces. If you'd fold deuces here, you fold tens. You could've saved 60 by folding the flop.

Before calling his c-bet, I'd really have to know my vill: could he barrel with less than aces here? Would he pay off if I bink? Otherwise, t'ain't worth it. (There are very few 10NL players who can play the leveling game. I've met maybe three (and I'm not sure of that third guy) who can in a year and a half. That's three players against whom I'd consider barrelling this.

Given the likely possibility the vill is an aggrotard, I'd be highly inclined to call the river bet. After all, he min-raises OOP, checks turn after a likely brick, and a brick river, and he doesn't bomb the river. If he shows up here with a weak ace, file that away for future reference.

Second batch of hands:

Hand 1: KQo
How does his "Fold-to-3-bet" stat look? I generally 3-bet/fold this preflop vs a BTN steal, especially if villain isn't known to 4-bet bluff.
Were there any reads involved in this hand? You have over 5800 hands with him, surely some non-ABC mechanics were at play here?
Why the flop min-raise, btw? That's a bad board to do that on, imo.
Just call flop and turn, and re-evaluate on the river.

Hand 2: QJo
Preflop is meh. You're going to be a dog vs his range.
As played, postflop is fine.

Hand 3: A7o
Why raise the flop so big? Why not just make it a standard 4x? You can't assume he's a fish yet after just 7 hands.

Edit: wait, we're SB, not CO. Yeah, good fold preflop.
Turn raise is good, make a note he can bluff-min-bet the turn.

Hand 4: AJs
I'd be inclined to 4-bet preflop. SB looks like a mouthbreather who will have a worse hand, time to get BTN to fold and leave us HU with the fish.
As played, postflop seems fine, except I bet/fold the river.

Hand 5: 99
If you call to set-mine, you should let the hand go when you whiff the flop. As played, min-raising generally looks bluffy, so if you take this line, you might want to raise more. I'd also do so on a board that doesn't have a K on it.
As played, I'm not slowing down on the best turn card you could want. Just bet out. Either 1/2-2/3 for value or 1/3 for deception and to induce a raise.

Hand 6: KK
You might want to slow down on the turn after getting two callers on a paired flop.
You might even want to check the flop and see what happens.
As played, you can't call that river.

Hand 7: QQ
3-bet preflop. Perfect opportunity for a squeeze! Besides, you want to play this HU instead of 3-way to improve your odds.
As played, postflop is fine.

Hand 8: KQo
Nh!
You could have raised preflop, but this is fine.

Hand 9: 52o
Vnh!
Way to not overplay your hand once the board pairs up, imo.
Odds of him having a boat are reduced a little because of the flop action (more likely he has trips - 65s/76s/A6), so you could potentially shove here. You opted it's better to be safe than sorry, nothing wrong with that in this spot.

Hand 10: QQ
3-bet preflop, and take it from there. He's going to be pretty wide here, so your raise is for value.
As played, postflop is fine.

Hand 11: AA
Vnh!
How else would you play this?

Hand 12: 66
That's a perfect flop for a c-bet. Any hand that doesn't contain an A is going to be folding here - bet!

Hand 13: TT
Your call here is essentially to set-mine. You whiffed. Fold the flop, unless you have a read that he's generally giving up unimproved. Then you can float.

Hand 14: AKo
I either c-bet the flop, or as played, check the turn as well. I don't usually apply a "delayed c-bet" like you did here. Not sure this is the right spot for it.

Hand 15: JJ
Against a tight player, I'm just flatting preflop. Against this guy, easy 3-bet.
Postflop is fine, but do you have any reads? If he always bets when checked to, I might make the crying call at the end.

You're gonna lose often when you call that turn raise (22/66/K6/K2/A6/A2 or slowplayed nuts AA/KK/AK) but I guess there's a bunch of KdXd hands and pure bluffs to not make calling a big mistake here.

The biggest mistake is being on that table. All their stats seem decent. Find a table with some fish, imo.

I have not read the outcome of the hands, so I could be less biased.

H1 Fold to 3Bet
H2 Rais/ Fold the flop, fold to further action. Calling caps your hand
H3 3Bet Pre flop, POT your set and look to get all in by the turn
H4 Fold Pre. Insufficient implied odds to continue without another caller. f you must play there, consider 3Bet.

Hand 1, out of position w KJo could simply be a fold preflop. As played, ck call is the only thing you can do there. Turn gives you more equity, and in some instances you could lead turn, but that only folds out hands like pocket pairs 9s, 8s etc.

Out of position where you are not the aggressor will not be profitable in the long run imo.

Hand 2, as the aggressor in this hand and in position I like to take control from the flop. When a player oop leads in to me on a draw heavy flop, I like to raise. Take control there. You will lose to Qx, but you can apply pressure and make it tough for him to continue w Qx. But flush draw, straight draws and worse 10s will call on this flop. This hand would most likely go flop bet, turn bet and check back the river.

Hand 3 very unfortunate. On turn, bet larger, size of the pot as flush draws and straight draws are there. Bet the river small, and fold to any raise. Unless you have a loose cannon, bet/folding River is a great play. People don't often bluff on river.

Hand 4, utg open is very strong. I like calling pf in position. flop is super strong for you, and betting flop and turn are great. Checking back the river is how I would play this one. He not calling A high on the river here or any worse 10s than you.
