Go ahead. Critique. I expect the push was bad. I started slightly tilted I think from a few days of sideaways play. I ended up tilted for sure.

MP is a 85/07/.5 calling station playing any draw.

Shortstack is.. well.. he's all in. I figured he either had an overpair or jack doodle. I was going for the MP stack.

Hero is a devastated bad poker playing tilt-ape who's doomswitch is way on. I went on to lose another buyin to another draw caught by my neighbor, then AK/AQ as I tilted away. Going for a bike ride now.

I don't like the UTG limp with suited connectors, and I'd rather bet large on the turn & river than just shoving. But this wasn't played all that bad, other than preflop.

Of the two I suppose I am more in the fold them camp as I see these cards as more speculative then they are worth generally.

But that was the sort of flop I wanted to see.

You realise that if villain has a 4 here, you will be expelled from HA forum by an angry mob and sent to BBV for penitence, don't you?

As a general rule, it's a bad idea to play for stacks with trips bad kicker as it's pretty obvious to everyone that the board has paired and people shouldn't get crazy unless they at least beat trips bad kicker. This may not apply when you face an 85/7, though.

About preflop, suited connectors i usually raise UTG in order to balance my range so that it's not just pairs and AJ+. But essentially I never open limp when I play 6max.

Limping into an unopened pot makes Baby Jesus cry, you know that! After that, it is what it is and I agree with Belgo if the villain holds a 4 this thread needs to be moved.
