Ok, so I have two particular hands I am wondering about if people want to take a gander at them for me. Soon as I can dig through my hand histories I will post the second (might take me a bit). This is first one. As for reads, this entire table was a typical donkfest like you would expect at a .01/.02 table. Lots of limpers, just a lot of mistakes in general. People pretty much limp with almost any two cards here. My question is, can I have gotten anyone at all to play back at me with this hand?

Stacks:
- daviddakid with $2.69 - FelkerPoker with $4.97 - phatjose with $4.24 - sargeyboo with $5.07 - LOLLERKID with $4.98 - etoile.choi with $4.61 - ANSENEIGEN with $3.40 - Sinandgo with $2.88 - FiRiltuP with $2.86

Obviously on the flop I had the nuts, so I was really hoping that someone was either going to bet into me, or get some help on the turn. With a 4th spade hitting, I was hoping that someone actually had one and would have played back at me with my value bet. Should I have waited for the river or was this basically a lost cause? I suppose I could also have limped in with this hand, but I really don't like that option because if I hit just a single pair, then I have no idea what anyone else is on.

Please don't limp AKs at this level ever. It's a monster hand, start getting value PF. If you raise and get a bunch of callers this isn't too bad because you're building a pot in which you have nice equity.

As for the hand you posted, I lead the flop here most times. You might get top pair/set/smaller flush value. If the set is out there you want to charge to draw to the FH.

If you bet and take down a tiny pot so be it.

Agreed; bet the flop and get what action you can from overcards and straight draws. QTd might call a flop bet but might give up on the turn if it's an ace or a spade or something.

A set will ch-r the flop and you can get him in. Probably top pair will too. Letting those types of hands see a free turn will only give them the chance of deciding they're no good anymore if a scare card drops.

The micros are all about hammering the pots to shit when you have your premiums since players will stack with anything. Barely ever a need to slowplay.

You HAVE to bet this flop because if/when the turn hits a spade, you will lose a lot of action from hands that would normally pay you off, putting you on a flush draw.

o rly? what about T8s? :p

as said, generally bet flop and let a J/9/gutshot + flush draw/whatever call you. if you bet flop and everyone folds, it means you rarely would have gotten much by checking it anyway.

Yes, bet the flop. On the turn, you could then check to represent fear and hopefully someone else bets. If not, you can lead on the river to try to get one more call.

Chuck, if you read the last little paragraph in the OP phatjose was considering limping his AKs. I don't like this play ever at 1c/2c

sorry schatz, missed that. Agreed; limping is very very bad at any limits. So much wasted equity.

Bet this flop. At these limits TP type hands spew, as does any other big spade. Your either getting paid here or your not.

FWIW, I never really considered limping during the hand, only afterwards after everyone had folded. So next time I do this, I will just keep in mind to lead out with a bet then. So my next question, how much do I bet? 1/2 - 2/3 the pot for value? My value betting is something I am working on still, so it's probably one of my weakest areas.

That depends on your usual betting pattern on the flop and that of the table. If you deviate too much, it might raise suspicions.

Sine you want to lure people, I would bet around half the pot, but not less. If they all fold to half-pot bet, then they have nothing at all.
