Does he ever just call the flop with anything other than a flush draw? Two pair, AJ/KJ/QJ would have/should have raised flop?

I wouldn't necessarily raise with Jx...

Keep betting! Flush draws make up a small enough portion of his range that I have no problemo's stacking here on the turn.

i agree with C9, you have 40% of ur money in here and can still outdraw him if behind..shove and fistpump to his AcKh call on the flop...and hope no club hits river:cool:

Thanks guys.

I had a second of hesitation but couldn't fold a set in BvB anyway.

Shoved, he called, with his 7c3c. He had bottom pair and flush draw on the flop, but what a preflop call.

If you are going to play shortstacked, you shouldn't fold TPTK let alone a set.

Even opening from SB? Short stackers also need to steal blinds, don't they?

Yup.

This is from a relatively recent posting by Ed Miller on his blog, though here he's talking about from the button and about full stack players not being liberal enough playing against the short stackers.

"When you’re 3-handed and playing effectively 20BB stacks, theoretically speaking, the money should be flying. There should be liberal 3-betting and 4-bet shoving, and liberal flop check-shoving and calling. The blind money is large enough compared to the stack sizes that you can frequently get your stack in “light” (I put it in quotes because it only seems light to many of us) and still get an overlay."
