Ok, I know I kinda gave him call value all the way, was not expecting that river (which I feel very dumb for betting on) but was the fold correct?

do you just want to analyse the river here, since preflop is the only good part of this hand?

Bet more on flop for starters, ~$2

Bet hella more than $1.50 on the staightening flushy turn ~3 - $3.50 as played, ~$5 if more is bet on flop

check/re evaluate river depending on size of opponents bet (Most likely folding to any river bet that isn't ridiculously small against someone with no reads or stats on) . I don't see why you would bet behind the check tbh, unless you have a sick read putting him on a,q, your getting very limited value.

As played, easy fold to re raise, this aint ever a bluff imo

I did want the entire hand analyzed because I know I played it horrible, you didn't have to tell me.

I was trying to keep him going all the way, which obviously is never a smart thing. (well, almost never)

At these stakes you can bet pretty much the pot size on each street and still get called a healthy amount of the time, this way you get most value and reduce the suck outs.

And yes after that river you have to fold, even if they made a silly bluff, you still have to fold on that board.

I think you should have put more in preflop. I would have raised it up to $2. The flop I would have bet about $5 hopefully that would push any drawing hands out of the pot. Played like you played it though I would have checked the river and probably folded it considering he probably had a str8.

what BW said on the flop and turn, and preflop it's kind of easy to use the (3 + limpers) x BB rule for how much to bet, and that would make $1. by the time of the river there is really nothing you can beat besides a cold bluff, and i really dont see that being a bluff there.

AA is often times a scary hand! It is the absolute best hand until the flop is laid. Then it is the worst most of the time. I win more often with KK then AA...LOL

I thought this thread was going to be about folding AA preflop, which I haven't done yet 'cept when sitting out. I don't think I've folded KK either, but I'm pretty sure I've folded QQ/JJ preflop intentionally before.

And some memorable ones where I should have folded AK preflop.

I'm talking tourny situations here, obv.

I think preflop is fine.. maybe bet $1.25, but I dont think its worth betting more, after all someone might take a stab at reraising you (whick would be brilliant!!)

Flop and turn bet more (2/3 or 3/4 pot)

You are letting him draw cheaply otherwise.

The river is a check. If you bet it what will call that you beat?? Not much.. and could you call a shove?? -- no!!

So check behind, if you win then you really couldn't have got a call from much anyway.
