Was going for a flop check raise as villain was very active and we were butting heads a lot and expected him to lead out

Any advise on how to adapt to situations when you are butting heads with someone would be great

Cheers

i bet the flop, possible straight and flush draws which we want to make pay, no point letting people catch free cards.

If villian is as active as you say he may be caling a wide range and making some moves so I think value bet the flop and turn unless villian plays it ver strong. The river doesnt complete any draws and were only beaten by a set or flopped straight so i value bet that as well.

As played i think your 3-bet on the turn needs to be a bit bigger to $25 or $28. as a rule of thumb 3 times the current be is a good sized raise.
