Hey guys, I just played the above hand where I flopped top set. I knew I had the best hand after the flop but was worried about villain drawing to a flush on the turn or river but facing just one other guy, it didnt bother me THAT much. I knew there was a slim chance he might have two diamonds and if he did he yould have a 1/3 chance to make the flush on the turn and river but I could also be drawing to a full house with about the same odds. Does this cancel out the threat of the flush?
Should I also have checked after the flop or put in a smaller bet that would not have scared him off? I am sure there is a mathematically correct bet that would get more money into the pot whilst giving me good pot odds but they only allow 15 seconds to make your mind up!
What do you guys think? Did I play this too safe?
Thanks in advance as always!
Frank.
