If they don't have anything and their not the type to make plays....nothing you can really do. Although if you created an image of an insane lunatic that bets and calls with nothing, then you might possibly get action. otherwise, you're SOL.

Can't fault your play - The only thing you might have done different was to check back on the River. Your bet of $6 might have made him think you hit a flush (3 hearts showing). If you checked on the river, maybe UTG would have thought you were chasing a straight - missed - and bet a sizable chunk to back you out of the hand.

BUT - considering the money at the table and the size of the pot, 6 bucks wasn't that large of a bet. As I said - can't fault your play.

Does look like youre representing the flush on the riv. Like marble said, if they dont have anything, not much you can do. If you know any of the players play pretty aggressively you could try to induce a bluff by betting small on the flop/turn ~ 1/3 pot or so. But like marble said, not much you can do when no1 wants to play.

ow men, you had bad lucky, because you played very well, and no one try to stole the pot with a raise, in your place, i would have checked on the river, because the UTG had bet on the turn, so, if you check, he would think that you had nothing, and will bluff against you, or make a small raise to see your reaction, and if this happen, you will re-raise, and he will calll because he would think you were stolling the pot, and you would have won a bigger pot

maybe you should've made a small bet on the flop(2xbb maybe?) then when the turn card comes just check to make it look like you're afraid of someone slow playing trip aces or something which hopefully will induce someone to bluff(which someone did do i now see) and that's when you can either go over the top or just call and as for the river, i dont know the call might scare him so hopefully he'd try to bet again if you checked

What hand could anyone have had to call you with? There was only one other ace in the deck, and two fives. Would somebody with 93 even have seen the flop?

It has oft been noted by poker writers that a monster hand is not so good, because you have exhausted the deck. You have most of the good cards, so there is little chance that anyone has a good enough hand to pay you off.

Flopped the nuts and can't get anyone to call.

Sound like eNTy the week before prom. :)

The sad fact is that when you crush a flop like that, it's not likely to help other people.

With 4 people in the flop there's a pretty good chance that someone has an Ace, so they're not going to play for a big pot unless they can beat trip-aces... which isn't likely.

You were pretty much doomed to win a small pot.

The only exception I see is if you have a read that UTG will try to steal if you check to him on the river. Then you can try to check/raise.

As someone said above, sometimes no one has anything. And it particularly sucks when you have everything.

the only thing I can really say is re: metagame...if you have a LAG image, people may just call out of spite

I don't think I would have played this any differently myself, although a small bet on the flop might make it look like you're trying to steal it cheaply to someone who might have 10 10 or JJ. Other than that I think you did it right.

check/raise, the idea is to let them try to bluff the hand. I did it when i was looking at full house and got something out of it.

yeah the only thing you can really hope for is someone trying to play off they have the flush, other than that your out of luck.
