You should c bet (continuation bet) that flop. I'm assuming your quite new to poker so ill explain why. You want to c bet for 2 reasons.

1. 2/3's of the time, the villain will have missed the flop, therefore a standard c-bet from you will take this pot down as it is.

2. Although not much of an issue at these stakes, you c-bet these flops so that when you actually hit a hand such as top 2 pair and you c bet it, it isn't so obvious you have a hand since you have c bet every flop after you have raised preflop

As played, after you have checked flop, i bet/fold turn

Thanks for your input, Switch.

I assumed a c-bet was actually standard play here, however I wasn't sure if play would be somewhat different considering the many calling stations in these limits. I have noticed that a c-bet carries much less value for opponents willing to call down absolutely anything. Tell me if I am wrong in this thinking, but I usually only c-bet tight opponents in these low limits. In other words, if I haven't hit anything and my opponents are loose or calling stations, I lay down my hand if I miss the flop.

I do understand the concept of c-betting and recognize it as a useful tool otherwise though.

Thoughts?

Against weak/passive players, I'm checking this down and I expect to win with ace high a good portion of the time. But against an aggressive player, I'm c-betting this flop to avoid him moving me off my hand on later streets.
