Im always confused in spots like these , in that spot as he is an ABC player i thought he had a big king , or any big pocket pair thinking that i am c/ raising with a draw. I was also planning to make a very small bet of 1/4 the pot for a thin value . In my head c/calling isnt an option because there isnt any value hand for him betting that i am winning .. so c/f was the other option? Opinions please.
Results: $40.10 pot ($2 rake)
Final Board: 4s Kh 5s 7c 2s
Hero mucked Kc 5c and lost (-$20 net)
MP showed Ts 8s and won $38.10 ($18.10 net)

Fold pre, even against CO. Defending even against button with K5s is questionable unless you are super confident in your postflop game that you can play with a weak range and OOP. Here, you are OOP and have really bad reverse implied odds. MP ranges are generally pretty tight, and you're not going to like any flops you face heat on. You're pretty much going to have a bluff catcher OOP with a capped range that can be punished if you can even catch a piece of the flop.

There is no need to "mix it up" at the micros. And honestly, I hate semi-bluffing OOP at the micros. You get called down pretty lightly here (TPNK, TPDK) or can get shoved on, and you don't get to realize your equity. Let's say they do call; most of the time you'll miss on the turn. Now you've bloated a huge pot OOP, and betting or checking on the turn both have their own problems.

3bet pre if he folds a lot to 3bets. Could be a good stealing situation.

I'd continue pressure on the flop and turn.

I'm not a fan of shoving river because we are allowing our opponent to play perfect poker and fold out worse hands.

Checking river is ideal because our opponent will give us a cheaper price to look him up and he will have more bluffs in his range.

I have seen people do LOTS of things, and I would lose tons of money if I imitated them.
