The last couple times Ive had KK I ran into AA preflop and I have been second guessing myself with it a lot lately. This is an absolute instant call right?? I actually thought about laying this down. Im such a weak donk

UTG+1 is a total maniac donk, showed down garbage b4. - 59.26/22.22/1.67

BB is a very aggressive player, seems very solid. - 19.35/14.67/3.67

hmm, I cant get the HH coverter to work

poker stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)
SB: $9.90
BB: $12.60
UTG: $8.50
UTG+1: $4.40
MP1: $11.45
MP2: $6.45
MP3: $6.00
Hero (CO): $10.00
BTN: $3.10

Preflop: Hero is dealt K:diamond: K:spade: (9 Players)

UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $0.50, 3 folds, Hero raises to $1.50, 2 folds, BB raises all-in to $12.60, UTG+1 calls all-in for $3.90, Hero ?

Kings preflop without a much >100BB effective stack size in a ring game is almost always AIPF. I stack here all the time.

Gotta calll. I've had KK against almost exactly the same action, with deeper stacks and at a higher limit and been up against AK and QQ (A and Q both hit board though lol)

What do these numbers next to the player mean - where do they come from?

What do these numbers next to the player mean - where do they come from?

Those are poker tracker stats:

VP$IP is first, voluntarily put $ in pot by percentage of hands
PFR is second, Pre flop raise, also percentage
last one is aggression factor

so someone that is 59/22/1.67 is a total maniac. Plays almost 60% of their hands (extremely loose) and raises almost half of those hands played.

To the OP, ya this is an easy call. You'll probably be (1) up against hands that have each others outs like AQ and AJ. or (2) up against a smaller pp and something like AQ. I may be too loose, but I'm getting as much in the middle PF with KK as fast as I possibly can.

The best players can count on one hand how many times they've folded Kings preflop. :p In other words... All-in.

Yup, gotta call.

The BB push might be a concern, especially if you read him as solid so maybe he's on AA. On the other hand, 1) it's .05/0.10, one of the levels I play so it could be AK/QQ/JJ as well, and 2) he could have the same read on UTG+1 as you, and he's trying to isolate him and hoping you will fold.

Always a tough call when you suspect aces! Managed to fold kings twice preflop..once i was up against aces but once i was horrified to see my opponent turning over pocket 10s. I think that you should always trust your instincts in this situation, if you feel that you are behind preflop you fold regardless of whether you have kings or deuces! A very difficult fold to make however

Only in a tournament when you've already reached the money and others are in pf and you would make more money no matter what by folding...some say that its foolish though cause if you can talk yourself out of this you can talk yourself out of wins. if AA flips....it sucks but losing always does anyway.

As stated earlier, it is only 5/10cent. The bb is probably holding a smaller pp and who knows what the donk has. Gotta call. The worst that is going to happen is you will leave or buy back in.

PS: What came down?

just folded kk tonight in a 3 way pot playing .50/1! UTG (player 1) made it $2 next guy (player 2) raises to $6, 2 players fold, i make it $17.

player 1 is all in for his last $12, player 2 pushes all in $75 dollars, i lay my kings down despite being to cover the all-in

player 1 flips over AcKc, player 2 turns over AhAs! AA holds up (even over my folded kings)! feels as good as winning a monster!
