This is a scenario of a recent event at the rings.

Your hole cards: QdQc

You bet preflop and get called. The flop hits.
AsQs3s
You are first to act, bet your queens, but are reraised by someone with a similar stack size. You reriase, but then he pushes all-in. On the flop odds are approx. 35% you will win the hand. Do you call because you think your trips are good, because you know poker sites can't help but help you out with non-stop picture cards, or do you fold because simply because the odds are against you, no spade in hand...etc...? With info provided please explain why you would call or fold.

I call simply because I cannot lay a hand down like this.Probably not the right thing to do with no reads, but I still think about half the hands villian holds I can beat.If not I still have a couple outs, maybe.

My questions to you are:
1)What level ring game is this?
2)How deep are your stacks?
3)Do you have any reads?
4)How much did you raise preflop?

BTW,I think the answer to this question given the info presented should be fold it.I just have it in me to do so.

definitely good questions detroit, i have one of my own, has the small stack lost chips lately from a bad beat? Did he just have to worst of it most of the game? I only ask to get an idea of how good the player might be. if he suffered a bad beat and is normally a well rounded player then i might be inclined to lay down the hand on the fact that he might just be waiting for the hand that is going to bring him back into the game. you are in a position which is screw from a luck stand point. does he have the nuts, is he on a draw and going to catch or maybe he is drawing with nothing hoping to bluff you out? few to little outs unless you are hoping for a full house or runner runner spades, i seriously doubt you'll be play for quads. how much of your stack are you in for? would lay it down if it is more than a forth. dont want to lose anymore to someone who thinks luck is his lady tonight.

wow, this thread is horrible

a) we "know" we're approx 35% to win? you didn't tell us we had a holecard cam, that's nice
b) if you're going to give a % we somehow know, you obviously have to give all the bet sizing and stack sizes because it becomes nothing more than an equity problem as to whether to call or not
c) the expertly subtle suggestion that online poker is rigged

yeah, this thread has it all

Where did your 35% figure come from?

Let grant villain the flush, even the nut flush for a moment. In which case you are in the %25 range for the board to pair, giving you the pot.

Let ungrant him the flush now, and give him I spade, say the King and the case Q. This could be reason enough for him to bet the way he did. In which case He has the 25% chance to win with the nut flush. But that would make you 75% to win.

Add in the AK possibilities and they are the same as the KQ if the AK included the K spades.

Then add in the Ax 2 pair hands, and the bluffs, and all we really want to complete the story is whether or not villain has any reason to tilt here.

But I wonder about that 35% figure.

Why don't you try being a little nice when pointing out oversights instead of a total ass. Gheesh. Why reply at all if you're going to post that crap? So it was a bad thread. I'm sorry. Try to get over it. Online poker is not rigged. I have never said that nor ever expect to, and definitely did not suggest it in this thread. Thank you.

I would have to call here, villians reraise pre-flop tells me that villian is holding only one of three hands here, AA, AK, KK (IMO), two of which beat you preflop.

Why reply at all if you're going to post that crap?

why click the "submit thread" button if you're not even going to think about what you're posting?

I clearly didn't think because none of it made any sense. Your horrible attitude is justified. Two wrongs obviously made a right in your eyes. You win. Thank you cardschat "community."

I personally would have to make the call, now going just by the play preflop play, where u raised, and the other just called, I would say AA/KK, more then likely are out (but that once again is just going by my style of play).
Now on the flop, yes u do have a set but his rereraise, on yours makes me personally think that he's on a draw, so i would have to still call him, regardless

Instacall. If he flopped the nuts or a set of Aces then that's just tough luck. It's much more likely he's drawing though.
