Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (6.4 BB, 2 players) 8:club: 6:club: T:spade:
BB checks, Hero bets 3.6 BB, BB calls 3.6 BB

Turn: (13.6 BB, 2 players) J:diamond:
BB checks, Hero bets 6 BB, BB raises to 21.28 BB, Hero raises to 138.2 BB and is all-in, BB calls 85.4 BB and is all-in

River: (226.96 BB, 2 players) 9:club:

BB shows Q:club: K:club: (Flush, King High)
(Pre 66%, Flop 48%, Turn 30%)
Hero shows J:club: T:club: (Flush, Jack High)
(Pre 34%, Flop 52%, Turn 70%)
BB wins 214.36 BB

I had both a 2 pair, and a good flush draw, I figured no matter what I was not drawing dead. I think it was the right call, this time, because the villain was just on a draw, but I would never put him on his exact hand.

Analysis??

Edit: I shipped only because I figured villain wasnt folding, and I wanted to maximize equity if he missed/I hit.

That's just one of those spots where neither of you are folding. In fact, you were quite a bit ahead when you both got it all in. You are going to win in this spot 70% of the time. It always sucks when you get run down, but I would love to get it all-in in this spot. Nothing you can do. Good Luck in the future.

Nicely played. Just a cooler.

On the turn, shoving is the correct move, which you actually did.

On his part, he would not go away likewise because of those heavy draws.

You were bound to lose a majority of your chips in this hand through no fault of your own.

Now hands like these can be hard sometimes but you have to take wins with the losses into your stride. Being mentally strong is extremely important in this game. If you have bankroll management and if you are mentally strong you can move on faster without it affecting your play, or else it can lead to multiple mistakes and even more mood swings and it can all go downhill from there. It's best to not let it linger in your mind.

So make sure every time you wake up, it is a new day. :icon_sunn

I wouldn't go all in on turn on Hero's place. Villain could have had straight or set. All-in for me exists for more obviously strong combinations than 2 pairs. Villain had piles of outs, but he called all-in not by chances. On river I would push anyway. It's a destiny for Hero to lose here.

Nice play, you got it in on the turn and you got the guy to call.. though he did have open ender/flush draw but still I think only 22% to win the hand if that? so good play.

Becareful though UTG and playing marginal hands can get you in a spot of bother.
