Not much profile on him, all I know is that not all of his early/middle raises are "premium" hands, and he bets big, mostly around pot size ish.

UTG Fold
UTG+1 Call $ 0.10
MP1 Raise $ 0.35
2 folds
Emperor IX (CO) Call $ 0.35 (KQo)
Button folds
SB Calls
BB folds
UTG raiser calls
Last active pot = $1.50
6 Q 7 rainbow
SB Bet $ 0.10 13:31:47 *A donkey bet. He does this every time, and always folds to raises*
UTG folds
MP1 Raise $ 1.00 13:31:52
Emperor IX ???

I'm thinking I should raise here, but as I said, he likes big pots, and I'd hate to get committed early on. What do you do here?

Well, with a board like that I cant think of a hand that has you beat except for possibly AQ with the way that hand played out. Smells more like a middle pocket pair to me, I'd probably raise it up. I don't think you should worry so much about getting committed. You probably have the best hand, don't be intimidated by him, just play your game.

I would probably raise enough here to make him realize that he is beat...

Of course, the SB donkey is going to fold because he's a donkey...:D

But yeah, I would assume he has maybe A-6,A-7...and wants to suck you out...

Raise up to 4 maybe 5 bucks and see what he does...:)

The reason I don't want to raise is because playing 10max to make money means you play BIG pots. This guy already plays big pots, and he's not going away. If I raise, I'll be committed to stay through it. The only hand I'm afraid of right now is AQ, since I don't think he'd play a set this way (he'd bet at least pot with set/two pair, he had a set last orbit) AQ is in his range, but only barely, since he can raise with a lot of different cards.

At this point in the hand, I'm putting him on twenty and up that involves a queen (QT, JQ, QK, AQ, or maybe some kind of pocket pair, I will admit that some kind of Ace is not out of the question), since I don't think he'd play those this way on the flop.

I'm not saying I didn't raise, but these are my arguments as to why I wouldn't want to, especially looking back.
