I had some friends over, had a lot of beer, and after everyone left I poppes on pokerstars. I didn't plan on playing, but looked up a couple CC'ers so I could watch their game. Ends up there was a table full of them, so I popped into a free seat.

I had two duds early on, so I thought I'd post them.

Any advice on this one? I know I got hit on the river, but regardless of that last card, maybe I could have done things different?

why the minraise on the turn? You want to keep the pot small or else take away the odds to call the draw (which she ended up having), you don't even have TPTK. As played the river is a marginal call. It's not a terrible call just because you're getting decent odds and this could easily be a bluff, but then again for exactly that reason it's probably not a bluff. Seems like both hands you had problems with, you over-valued top pair. Especially when you don't even have the top kicker, you don't want to be getting a lot of money in the pot with top pair. Keep it small, and if you're going to raise that turn, raise it more than a min-raise. The min-raise gives you no information and unnecessarily bloats the pot in a situation where you don't want to be playing a big pot.

Preflop: Either raise it or fold it there
Flop: Raise to ~2.25
Turn: Either flat call this to keep the pot small, or raise more to price the draws out
River: I cant see this being a bluff too often, but you are getting good odds to call, Im not sure about it

Jeez, look at those stacks. Serious advise: Find a new table. Too many players over the max buy-in, even more than double and triple. That means many of these folks are doing well at this table and have chased away or busted some players. I'd go find some donkeys to beat because you won't find them at that table.

Otherwise, fold or raise KTo preflop.

I would recommend a bigger raise on the turn but maybe he thinking top pair and straight draw calls so I don't think unless you bet big in the flop that you could have take him out

Just because people have big stacks doesn't mean they're good players. I don't think it's good to fear a table just because they're full of big stacks. Big stacks just mean that they're willing to put money out.

For example, I left that table with $48.90. That doesn't mean I was doing well, as it was only a $1.20 profit.

Like daks says, it was all for the fun. Even me with garbage hands (0/0/0 HUD stats after 2 or 3 orbits). Penguin, you must have taken my seat right beside Aloe.

KTo on the button is way ahead of anything I had at the table during the time I was there. Gotta raise that up preflop, as play I probably reraise the flop bet 3X with position and a decent kicker.

Wow! Seeing 5 big stacks at a table doesn't mean at least one of them is a good player?

And I wasn't aware you could sit at a $25 Max table with $47.70. Do you have a special hack to do that? Because PokerStars only allows me to sit at their $25 Max tables with... $25.

I sat with $25, added more chips twice I think, and then worked that up to $47.70, which meant that I had a whopping $1.20 profit.

I've seen people with $80+ at the $25 tables donk it all off with dumb plays. In fact, I think I remember a post here about someone with a lot more than that who was donking it off.
