$10 NLHE I have $9.37 and I'm in the BB with 10c 10d. 4 calls 3 folds and I check. The flop comes 5c 8c 3d pot is 0.50. SB checks and I bet 0.25 then I get one call then 1 raise to 0.90 then 2 folds to me and I reraise to $1.30 then 1 fold and then the original raiser just smooth calls and we're headsup now. The turn is 2h and the pot is $3.85 so I bet $2.00 and he raises to $11.08. What would you do here?

Thanks.

Raise preflop, .50-$1 to get value/info/protect your hand.

Flop bet is fine (I think you meant 45c lead there if I counted right), but your minimum 4-bet isn't going to accomplish anything. If you think you're ahead, then raise more to protect against the flush and to see if we can stack a weaker pair. This could also be a set/2 pair as well since we let so many hands in preflop...

Anyways, as played, we're very much in the dark regarding villain's hand on the river, but we have to make a crying call considering how much is in the pot and how much we have left.

Biggest problem here, again, is the PF no-raise.

^^^I'll have to agree here^^^, I know your in the BB, but you have a good hand here that warrants a raise preflop.
With the raise preflop, an OOP raise would represent strength and help you better define villians hand on the upcoming streets.

Regardless, you have a ton of equity in this pot, and can't give it up just because you're iffy about playing OOP.

Raise away! Just make sure it's for enough. If you raise a standard 3 or 4BBs, every limper will call. I'm not sure what it's like at 10NL nowadays, but I think 10BBs should do the trick.

I understand what shoulda been done preflop! But just wondering was the question not. There was 3.85 in the pot and I bet 2$ on the turn, he raises me 11.08 on the turn..WHAT DO I DO?

Well cmon, if I see something I don't like, I've gotta pipe up :D

I do agree with you though, April. There's a fair likelyhood of us already having been drawn out, but we're getting odds that are too good to pass up.

Thats a nice play by villain.

You have 2 think the cold call to induce a turn bet is a pretty strong hand.

I think someone with 8 who raises a flop bet wouldnt wait till turn 2 go allin against a reraise, hed do it on flop while he has high pair.

He could have 99 i guess.

Up until your turn bet, i think you played it fine, he could have tons of hands 2 raise flop with.

But once he raises turn, i think youre beat.

But at 10NL id have talked myself into calling i think

I don't mind the check, but I think you should play the hand passively post flop unless you flop a set.
