I was sitting in my $50NL max game yesterday and this hand came up fairly early.

Villain #1 (SB) $40
Hero MP $48 - [ac][6c]
Villain #2 (CO) $30

Limped pot, I'm sure there were other limpers too, but that does not matter. Flop came off [4c][7s][8c]. The pot is $2.40

SB checks. I lead out with $2. CO calls. SB raises to $6.

So, he must of flopped something big in the SB.. 2pr, set or straight. I want his money, I have my gut shot and nut flush draw.

I reraise to $20. CO folds. SB pushes all-in and I instant call.

Would you guys consider this a good play?

2nd sentance, you've got 12 outs then. But if the first sentance is correct, your gut shot may be worthless, the 7 could make him full house, and the turn, if a club, will give extra outs to be redrawn.

you've got fold equity by raising, but if your read is accurate then he wont fold, so i dont understand why you didn't want to keep the CO in the pot? If you are drawing, you want as many people in the pot as possible, surely?

That is a good point rob, about keeping him in the pot. Thanks for that advice, it didn't even come to my mind.

I ended up calling and the turn came a blank and the river dropped the [7c]. I showed the nut flush and he showed the flopped straight.

I wouldn't have led out in that situation, but that's just me. You took it down either way, so NH.
