2nd sentance, you've got 12 outs then. But if the first sentance is correct, your gut shot may be worthless, the 7 could make him full house, and the turn, if a club, will give extra outs to be redrawn.
you've got fold equity by raising, but if your read is accurate then he wont fold, so i dont understand why you didn't want to keep the CO in the pot? If you are drawing, you want as many people in the pot as possible, surely?
