shallow33 ...?

my table image is that of a tight, but tricky player. i made this routine of betting pre-flop and then the same amount on the flop (usually small pots), would end up stealing the pot usually very cheap. people eventually got frustrated and i ended up busting a guy when i did the same thing with a made hand.

the min bet felt like he was trying to draw cheap or maybe flopped a monster hand, so what should i do (or have done). bet to protect against a possible single spade in his hand? bluff a flush? check? give up?

Gotta keep betting this - there's a lot more in his range aside from a flush that will call you down. Kx, Ax, etc

preflop: raise >> call >> fold. Try not to open limp at 6max

Good flop raise

Bet the turn for value. We're not bluffing the flush, we're protecting our hand and getting value from all sorts of worse hands.

In the future, please convert your hands

Nope, you are playing $10 max, you don't have a table image.

And yep, bet it out, you don't have to represent a flush, you've got the next best thing.

And personally I prefer the Hand Histories in their original format as I find them easier to read, so ignore ^^^^^^ ;)

I'm on board with betting this turn for value. You might be right that his flop minbet was an attempt to draw cheap and now he made his flush, so he could raise any bet you make now, but I think this is a chance you have to take with a set.

As was pointed out above, there are many hands on this board, besides a flush, that will give you some action. The third spade hurts you a bit, but you should always try to get max value. If he does indeed raise your bet you should call anything reasonable since your hand can still improve.

Villain calling the raise after betting the flop doesn't indicate a flush, as does his checking. This is Ax or Kx a very good majority of the time, and if it is the flush, you are at 33% to fill up to a boat or better. Villain probably puts YOU on the flush (or a bigger ace) since he has checked once the scare card hits (remember that he has only checked preflop, so he can have J10 or QJ, also).

I bet here 100% of the time against an opponent who will not play draws the same as a monster (ie. not tricky or imaginative).

I think you have the best hand, I don't think he's leading out with a baby flush draw, possibly a hand like two pair or maybe even middle pair, I would make a sizeable bet here.
