From a cash game Friday night. I know I played the hand badly and would like some feedback as to what I should have done differently.

Stack Sizes are approximate, blinds are 50 cents and 1 dollar.

Ten handed cash game, but only four people in the pot, so I'm only listing their stack sizes. I'm the small blind.

UTG: $60
Player 2: $80
Small Blind (hero): $125
Big Blind: $50

Hero is dealt 8h, 6h
Under the gun limps as does player 2, I call, the big blind checks.
There is currently 4 dollars in the pot

Flop:
5h, 6d, 9h

UTG checks, player 2 bets 5 dollars, hero calls, big blind calls, UTG calls
Pot size is $24.00

Turn: As
UTG checks, player two bets $5, hero calls, Big blind calls, UTG raises to $12, player 2 folds

Hero?

I forgot to add my reads on the players, and since I know it's very relevant I'll add it here.

Pretty sure player two flopped top pair, so I had her on J,9 or Q,9 wich is well with her limping range. The big blind could have had anything, but since he called the raise on the flop and didn't re-raise I'm pretty sure he has a draw (he's the kind of player that raises with ANY pair). UTG is a problem. I'm almost positive he has an ace (so yes, I know I'm beat at this point) but my biggest problem is wondering if his ace is a heart and his kicker is another heart. If so, I'm dead even if I do hit the flush.

The real question here is.

"Should I try to SUCK OUT?"

Ahem.. I mean, more gently put...... "Is this pot big enough for me to try to SUCK THE %@#$ OUT?"

Ummmm, sorry.

No need to apologize, that's exactly the question I'm asking.

You getting way to good of odds not to call here or even push.
Your getting more than 3:1 on your money with 15 possible outs: the 9 remaining diamonds, the two 6s and the four 7s.
My question is why would you not go for it?

That was my own conclusion, so I called. The big blind folded.

The river was a 6s.

UTG goes all in, of course I call and win the pot with 3 sixes.

I was shocked both of the other players folded an there was a lot of talk at the table about how I should have folded even WITH those pot odds because I knew I was beat. I understand that kind of thinking, but I also feel like I didn't do anything too terrible. The player I sucked out threw a fit, but my take on it was he should have raised a lot more to totally wreck my odds and get me out of the hand.

Yes, his $12 reraise was too small. Looks like he based this on the $5 donk bet instead of betting based on the pot size. In live cash games I see this a lot, reraises based on original raise and not based on the pot and odds.
