So its been about 25 hands in this session and I have played in 1 hand so far where I folded top two pair on the river when the 4th spade came up. I'm on the button here and decide to raise it up and try to steal. The hand history tells the rest of the st ory. I figured the villain had an A, not so great kicker as he took a long time to call and eventually fold. I am often not sure when I should keep firing bullets but this time I decided to ride it out.:D

Nice bluff! There must have been a big sigh of relief when your oponenet folded his hand on the river.

What bluff? Opponent was chasing a flush and didn't hit. Bet you anything you had a better hand than him - bluffing is getting someone with a better hand to fold. What did you think he had, pair of aces? If so, why did he fold to your final bet when the last 7 flopped? - did he think you had 3 of em? Nope, if he had and ace, he'd have called.

Ya I'm glad it wasnt a live hand cuase my face was probably all red with nervousness. Big relief when he folded. I was staring down his avatar sending him thoughts of folding lol.

To rob: maybe he was chasing a flush, but from hands played after this he wasn't chasing with the wrong odds so not sure. I really felt he had the A but since I raised pf he thought I had AK or something. I was real happy to win this one.

Maybe, but if he's called 2 bets with a pair of aces I dont see why he wouldn't call the 3rd as it was hardly a scare card, and there was a (comparatively for the level) largish pot. You cant really talk about pre flop raises when you are talking about 10 cents, and personally I wouldn't "bluff" into 3 players with 2nd pair when there was an Ace on the board.

Thats where I am looking for some advice. Whether his hand could beat mine or not I threw out the first raise hoping if no one had an A they would all fold. Got the one caller and decided to shoot another bullet. Then when he called that one I wasnt sure what to do. If I hadn't put him all in on the river I am sure he would have called. Maybe this was only a semi bluff but once you start firing bullets how do you know when to stop.

You won the hand, but I wouldn't neccesarily say you played it well. In my opinion (again maybe you were right), all the opponent needed to have to beat you was an Ace. He didn't in this hand (i dont think), but 3 times out of 4 he will. That's my look on hand anyway!

It is possible that he was on a hand like KQ/KJ, having a chance for a medium-pair and a gut-shot straight (maybe even flush as well). With that many outs he certainly could've called the flop/turn bets. Nothing hit, so he folded. If he was a solid player, this is the kind of hand I would put him on. If he was a weaker player, I would put him on a naked flush draw.

You were basically semi-bluffing all the way until the river. There were no raises, so you would have to put him on a draw, and the river was a dead card. So yeah, it makes since to fire another bullet there.
