Blind vs blind in cash games is a bit weird for me as I have no clue on villain's range. What do you think about this hand ?

The ten makes me groan a bit, since that certainly is in his range. It could certainly give him a straight or 2-pair. However, I like the way you played this. Blind vs. blind, you can certainly get check/raised light.

Reads go a long way in BvB battles, btw. If you're gonna get reads on players, make sure you get reads on the players to your left & right.

That T is such a horrible card that I don't think folding the river is a bad idea without a read. It's kinda unlikely he's on a TOTAL bluff, as that's a horrible line to take if he was. I dunno, I might be tempted to call him down just for information.

Raise to more than $.75. Make your normal bet +1 bb. So $1 or $1.25.

One thing I've learned is that it's perfectly acceptable for the SB to have a legitimate hand in these situations. (Just like the button isn't necessarily stealing with junk.)

I don't like getting nearly 1/3 of my stack in with middle pair and a J kicker. Unless I've seen this guy making moves, I'd have folded to the re-raise on the flop.

Now, that being said, under specific situations I've called people down with much worse. But against an unknown, I'm bailing when he re-raised the flop. He could have you out kicked, or be slow playing his over pair, or maybe he hit two pair. There are a lot of ways to win, and the way he's acting you're only beating a bluff.

It kind of looks like the hit the King. Then he checked to disguise it, hoping you'd bet. Then when he saw that you checked he decided he'd better get paid off on the river.

Calling the re-raise on the flop isn't bad. Trying to see the river cheap on the turn was good. But there's no way I'd call the river without witnessing specific reasons not to trust the SB story.

SharggsBeatinU wins the pot ($18.55) with a pair of Tens

so his check turn on the flop was a bluff. I should have attacked the turn I guess

Even blind vs blind, we're really only beating a bluff on the river so I really don't see how we can call.

The flop is the biggest problem for me though. At this stage villain could have a huge range of hands, including pairs that have hit a set, straight draws, overcards, a better nine, or even a middle pocket pair.

Still - it's quite possible that you're ahead, as it's only really sets and better nines you're worried about right now (a 7-9 two pair is a possibility too, I guess) so I like betting at the flop. But we have to be conscious that there are very few safe cards left in the deck for us. Another 9 is about the only card that will safely improve our hand, and a two or four is about the only non-threatening blank. Pretty much everything else either fills in potential straight draws or pairs overcards. So we'd like to end this here, if we can.

If the villain is a strictly-kosher TAG then I think we need to give them credit for either a better nine or a set and get out of the way after the check-raise on the flop - we could fight them, and it's possible we'll be folding the better hand a small amount of the time, but it'll save us from a lot of hard decisions and lost bets on the following streets. And we can note the villain's line, then punish them next time they try it against our monster hands.

If villain is capable of making some moves, however, I think we can have a bash a three-betting this flop. It tells the villain that we're serious and they really will need to hit to take this pot from us. Because you raised pre-flop you'll be telling a story consistent with a range of strong hands - a set of your own, TPTK or an overpair would all fit. Make it around $12-$14 and you should be giving the wrong odds for them to draw - take into account the fact that a bet that size will be almost all of the villain's remaining stack and will take away any fold equity they might have had from shoving, and I think you get a laydown from pretty much everything except the aforementioned sets and TPTK.

The image equity will be sweet too, as they should think twice before messing with your blinds again.

It's a risky strategy, and like I said against a standard fit-or-fold TAG it's probably better just to get away, but against a LAG-ish villain I think it's got some merit.
