Big Hand. Did I do anything wrong?

Had this big hand happen to night and wanted to know if you think i could have played it better in anyway.

Be brutal! Also after thinking back about the hand i though i could have represented the flush draw as i put him on a big pair in the end.

He did tell me in the chat afterwards what he had.

You could have saved $12.30 by believing he had a bigger pair for his re-raise. Was there a reason you thought he had less? As to representing a flush draw, about 50% chance one of his big pair could be a spade, so he would not give a rats patootie if you are only drawing to the flush.

I guess i called his re raise looking for set value.

Now when the board cam all low, was I wrong to lead out here?

Should i check and fold to aggression? I don't want to be too passive but then again maybe I am just giving away money?

pf - fine, you're getting set odds and could still be ahead to overcards

flop - not great, but not terrible. The thing is that a) he's either got an overpair and is usually getting his chips in regardless, or b) he's got overs, and %50 of the time (when he has a FD), he's actually a favourite to win against you, and will probably stack this flop.

Turn - this is when you should be giving up. $6 into $14? What purpose does that bet serve? He's got you beat most of the time here with an overpair or has just hit his queen, otherwise he's still drawing to overs+FD and has good equity against you. Ch-fold turn.

I like the aggressive leading out after the flop, but I don't like the calling of his raise. He gave you a second chance to fold, what is most times in this situation, the losing hand, and again you turned it down. Don't take this the wrong way, but I like the villain's play. You did exactly what he wanted, he owned you the entire hand. Better luck next time.
