I'd raise this to $1 or max $1.25.

i like disguising the AQ. and let a hand like JQ QK Ax take control on a board where they're way behind. i dont think a raise pushes both limpers out most of the time

not sure if he meant $3 bucks or 3X the BB. Personally I like the raise to either a $1 or $1.25

I personally like a limp for the same reasons joose mentioned. 25NL players couldn't fathom that you limped with AQ and will definitely pay you off with weaker hands.

It's also good because all you're investing is 15c more; if you miss the flop, dump it!

I raise here because I don't want trash to limp in with me and make a two pair. I think raising here also makes it easier to interpret information on the next round of betting.

I've been at that level, so a smooth call is in order here (as players at that level love to limp in with monsters) and hope for an ace on the flop, I'll give you an example here: PokerStars Game #7959877850: Hold'em No Limit ($0.10/$0.25) - 2007/01/15 - 21:53:34 (ET)
Table 'Gyas IV' 9-max Seat #7 is the button

Seat 5: fiddysent52 ($26.75 in chips)
Seat 6: cooljon69 ($24.25 in chips)
Seat 7: pmroxh ($20.85 in chips)
Seat 8: EZtouch50 ($35.70 in chips)

EZtouch50: shows [Kc Ks] (two pair, Kings and Sevens)
Orion469: shows [As 7h] (a full house, Sevens full of Aces)
Orion469 collected $39.45 from pot

A similar thing happened to me at this same table a few hands before where the player limped in with K-K and I was holding A-Q, flop was A,Q,K and I bet big right away and was pushed all-in, so already pot commited I called and low cards on the turn and river and he turned over trip Ks.
just limp-in with what you have and hope for the best.
