Do you think I played this hand right, or way to aggresive?
I'm Ozzy2 and villain is a player who is very aggresive preflop, and he doesn't nesecarely have a great startinghand. The table is filled with donks, but I know I can isolate villain with my re-raise.

I'm currently not playing poker, because I need to get my adrenalin level a bit down. But i'm not going to let it be my last hand on a day where variance has been my friend(I'm up $150 so I don't complain:).

If you like, you're also welcome to make a comment on villains play.

It wasn't a great starting hand, with weak low potential and only one suit - so the pre-flop raise was very aggressive, although you did have position on the original raiser.
On the flop I'm sure you should have been worried about trips, 2 pair, A2 low draws, a 3456 straight draw, and a diamond flush draw, so the single pair was in terrible shape. Ruling out the trips, because that would probably have been bet, 2 pair or draws would still have been a concern. Against most hands that would play against you, he would have probably been favourite to win.
On the turn you hit a flush draw and a straight draw, but still any 4,5,7 or 8 would have quite possibly given the low away (again, not in this case, but often), a spade would have made him a flush, but only King-high, so possibly giving him a No. 1 sucker hand if someone else had the Ace (expecting Respect to probably have an Ace at this point, so there's a 50% chance that it's in Spades), and the single pair looks decidedly vulnerable. With the pot size, even if they're expecting to get the nut low half about half of the time, they could call for the pot odds.
Against a complete idiot who'll play most hands, and stay in with nothing, then it's a strong play. Against a decent player, it would be suicide, because any sensible player would only call that turn bet all-in with much better than they had. From what you've said you've got the kind of read you need on that player to make this kind of play (I know I'd be scared to make it without a damn good read... if they'll raise with anything at all, then I guess that would tell you enough to play, though).

Nice win, though - the aggressive strategy clearly paid off by isolating the idiot, and scaring off other hands which could have beaten you, and in this case your hand dominated his (except for the low potential). I'll bow to your experience on this - it demonstrates the value of good reads and isolation, over particularly good starting cards.

Villain's play was just moronic. He was chasing 2nd best low, with just middle pair for high, and no straight or flush draws. I have no idea what gave him any cause to call on the flop, and then on the river even his low was looking less likely, with no improvement for high, so his post-flop play was just mind-numbingly stupid.

What site was this on, I think I want to add Respect to my list of people to keep an eye out for...

I personally don't have the ablility to get really good reads in OH because of the number of hands possible.
Usually if i'm playing an AAXX hand, i have to improve to be confident with it.
Even heads up, i get too weary of 2 pair or trips.
You played the hand very aggressively and it paid off - like starfall said - isolating the moron at the table was the right thing to do - I mean he chased an A4 low for and middle pair for all his chips here.
Your low wasn't any better, so i guess making him pay while you had the high hand was the right move to make
Well played Osmann :)

@starfall
The game was on interpoker, but I don't think there's any reason to track him down, cause I actually think he's a winning player. He just temporarely tilted because of my limp-reraise. Besides players who will call with low draws only, are not very hard to find.

@ChuckTs
The reads will come in time, but when they come, they will often be a lot more accurate than the ones you have in texas hold'em. That's mainly because not many players make deceptive plays. The only difficult thing, is to know wether an opponent is bluffing or not.

The thing that bothered me with this hand was actually my opponents play. How can he call my re-raise preflop? He must know I have a much better hand than he does. How can he call my bet on the flop? He must realize there's a good chance I have AA with a low draw, wich leaves him in a very bad position. If he'd bet the flop I couldn't call so thatwould have been a much better play, than simply callin me down with a hand I would usually fold from early to middle position preflop. And definately not raise with, into a large field of limpers when out of position.
