I'm just getting so annoyed. For the last month on Full Tilt I am either completely card dead or I hit great flops and get sucked out on/superbly unlucky. How do some people have good luck when I'm literally praying every hand to just not have bad luck.

Did I do anything particularly wrong here?

And is it just me or is the guy pretty much an idiot for calling $2 with bottom pair on the flop. I'm obviously not going to bet into 5 people with less than BOTTOM PAIR. Plus he doesn't know what the players after him will do. Did I just basically get screwed (again?)

I figured maybe I should have done that. At this point I was somewhat scared that the guy had a set or better 2 pair, so I wanted to bet out first and hopefully control the size and at least get to see the hand.

If he raises me there, I'm pretty much folding for sure. If I check to him and he makes a big bet ($25+), don't I pretty much have to call? It could be a bluff just like the raise on the turn could have been taking advantage of the scare card. If I bet here, the chances of him bluffing seem much less likely and if he raises I can fold. Is this reasonable? Leading out with the smallish bet honestly seems to me like the best way to make money if he has only one pair, and the best way to limit my losses if I'm beat.

Bet more on the flop. As it was you bet 2 making the pot 7, pretty easy call for villan at 3.5 to one. You need to make him make a bigger mistake here probably bet around $5. If he calls anyway, well he's a donk and you that's what you want him to do. Note that he'll call a big raise with bottom pair and take aqdvantage of that in the future.
