Am I playing too tight? I trying to step up my Ring Game skills, so I decided that I will only play ring games for a total of 10K hands at $25 with blinds at .10/.25. I usually play on the 6 handed tables.
I know its probably too early to determine how exactly Im playing, but Im just curious as to what other people think. I happen to think I might be playing a bit too tight.

These are my hand stats for bodog.

Hands Played: 441

Hands won: 17% = 75/441

Showdowns Won: 45% = 34/75

Flop Seen: 30% = 132/441

Win % if flop seen: 44% = 58/132

Your Action-

Fold: 47% = 207/441

Check: 21% = 93/441

Call: 10% = 44/441

Bet: 12% = 52/441

Raise: 9% = 40/441

Re-Raise: 1% = 4/441

When you fold-

Preflop: 67% = 295/441

Flop: 6% = 26/441

Turn: 4% = 18/441

River: 3% = 13/441

No Fold: 21% = 92/441

441 20x too small a sample. 30% vpip at 10k hands is too loose for sure.

You have good stats, the only thing that stands out to me is that you dont raise or re-raise to often, which could lead you to play tight, but the way you play really comes from the way the table is playing. I mean which, you prolly know, if the table is tight loosen up alittle and when there loose play tighter, that really does help.

First of all, your total hands won % is about right for 6 handed tables. Second, your win% when seeing the flop is very good, but your win% when going to showdown is too low. You want that stat to be significantly over 50% AT LEAST. Your preflop rate is a bit loose but you seem to be doing pretty good with post flop. Just try not staying in so long to showdwon on quite so many hands (like maybe your top prs).

Quite the opposite, you're playing way too loose. You should be playing about 15% of hands at full ring, not 30%. Try multi-tabling if you're getting bored waiting for playable hands.

30% is very very loose - also you should check out pokertracker if you want more usable stats

Umm, some random points.

- OP, get pokertracker and get a meaningful sample size kthx.

- VP$IP% =/= "Flops seen".

- Stats are for 6-max as stated in the OP.

get a little bit more aggressive, plus be kinda sure that your going to win if you call the showdown bet because your losing too many pots at the showdown.

How is his sample size too small? he is asking how he is playing now.. based on the hands he is playing. You still can get a decent idea.
