If I was going to analyze my own play I'd say that 1st off, my opening raise out of position was too small, I should have tried to take the pot down preflop or not at all. Also, I gained almost no information on apbones hand.

Now an explanation of my postflop play. That flop was not likely to have hit anyone. His check may have been honest. That flop was about as good as I could have expected with pocket 8's I certainly didn't want to see another overcard. I bet out. While his call surprised me, it wasn't a check raise. I'm thinking flush draw with a couple of overcards. I bet big on the turn becuase I didn't want to give him a free card. That is the end of any justification of my play. His reraise told me I was beat. My call was just just a bad bad bad play.
