Akin to my previous post with the advise from this forum i deiced to play AK more aggressively then usual.

Villain 20/18/6.6 (Also re-raising a fair amount during session)

1) Did i play this right?

2) Should i have raised more preflop?

3) Should i have called the all in shove?

4) Why does god hate me?

MP ($118.51)
Button ($146.04)
SB ($368.21)
Hero ($100)
UTG ($112.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K

.
2 folds, Button raises to $3, SB raises to $11.5, Hero raises to $31, Button folds, SB calls $367.71 (All-In), Hero calls $99 (All-In).

Flop: ($512.71) J

Turn: ($512.71) 9

Final Pot: $263.50

Results in white below:
SB has As Ks (flush, ace high).
Hero has Kh Ad (one pair, jacks).
Outcome: SB wins $512.21.

This is 100nl 6max, right? I guess it's standard for 6max, although i play FR like 99% of the time.

Cooler imo.

Well the converter obviously pooched the $ ammounts here so the math is kinda tough to figure out. But basically I can't see not 4 betting here especially against someone with those stats who obviously knows what he's doing. And once you 4 bet stacking becomes automatic, right?

Yep. We're getting too good of pot odds to fold. I like the smallish 4bet as well, since it will give us more fold equity when we're four bet bluffing. I might raise a little more to around 38-40$, but I think the bet sizing is about right.

I like the size, generally you can get away with much smaller 4 bets than 3 bets. Also making your 4-bets too large, like greater than 1/3 of effective stacks can make for some really awkward spots.

If we pump it to 40$ we'll have a pretty easy decision on the flop with 60$ behind in an 80$ pot. You think we'll get too many calls since we have little fold equity?

And who's calling 4-bets out of position, I mean really.... our opponents are almost always pumping it or dumping it.

I meant awkward spots pre-flop. If you never 4-bet bluff it's not a problem. Obviously when you 4-bet bluff, you're done if they shove, but if you 4-bet bluff to 40% of effective stacks, you're now getting over 2:1 on a call. You've either priced yourself in to a horrible spot, or spent 10%+ more than you had to to find out the same information.

Ah preflop, gotcha.
