Over 92 hands Schwarzie is 24%VPIP, 12%PFR, AF 1.7

Figured I'd peel a card off and if an A or K came I'd be good. It did, but I didn't expect a raise when i bet 2/3 of the pot. What would you guys do here?

BTW I've been trying to play more of a LAG style.

Stacks: - _2_4_0_0 with $49.00 - seejper with $110.45 - HammerLeh123 with $41.70 - schwarzie247 with $82.35 - red_dawn_28 with $102.15

Well I fold the flop. You're drawing to at best 6 outs, and are definitely not getting the odds for that. Even if you hit an ace, you could easily be way behind A7/2/4 or a set/two pair.

If you're calling the flop raise (which again I don't like), then you have to get some chips when or if you hit one of your overcards. As played, I still fold, but like I said, if you're calling that flop with overcards, then folding when you hit one is pretty weak.

I think he's on A7/A2/A4 and sets a lot of the time, and 88+/Ax of hearts and other hands you're beating the rest of the time.

Looking at your stacks, I want to fold this even more. TPTK is hardly something to go to stacks with when you're this deep and getting this kind of action.

Yep I agree, including the folding on the flop 3-bet.

Villains action looks like a set or AA all the way. The only time he smooth called was PF, after that he stepped up the aggression. On the flop it's a fold for me because: 1) even if I might think I'm getting raised because the board is dry and the $4.50 is clearly a c-bet, rarely a player would raise a c-bet with a medium PP to someone who 3-bet PF, because of the fear he's up against a big PP. Think about it. You 3-bet PF, the flop comes 7-high, you bet another $4.50 and he raise to $12. What hands are going to do that? For sure not TT or JJ, he could raise with those hands only if he thinks you specifically have AK or AQ, and I don't see how he can put you on those hands. 2) your odds for peeling off another card drawing to 6 outs are terrible, with also the strong chance that you're drawing dead.

The only thing I can say is that his flop 3-bet might be a "raise for info" :) type of thing, where, without a made hand, he tries to get you to fold just in case you did 3-bet PF without a high PP, so I can maybe give you the benefit of the doubt on it. Because of that, an argument can be made that by folding there (table is 5-handed) you're a bit weak and exploitable, I guess. But for sure the turn has to be a fold unless the guy is a total and clinically certified maniac, cause I agree with Chuck that with your stack sizes I don't want to go for stacks ($82+) with TP/TK given the aggressive way he's playing his hand which makes me think I'm WB or maybe drawing dead.

I don't know how much your efforts to play a more LAG style figure into how you played this hand, or is playing into how your opponent views you and is affecting his playing, but LAG still has to acknowledge when someone tells them they are behind. He's basically saying you may or may not have something, but whatever you've got, I've got a monster.

I dunno if I'd agree with joe about AA; I'd expect a 4 bet/push with AA preflop, especially if you've been playing LAG.

I have to agree with every one here. Fold post flop.

Either villain is a maniac or has flopped a set / 2 pr IMHO. Small raise to get rid of "rubbish hands" - then a healthy re-raise on the flop. With an ace on the turn he still is still not worried and re raises again. Id have to put him on a set.

Less likely (obviously I don't know what hands he plays) but what Ive been caught with by a certain player who loves playing them, is that he has a flush / straight draw combination with 3h 5h and has hit the straight with the ace.

He has commited the majority of his stack to the pot and all we have is TPTK. Get out!!!!

Sorry to say but I think you were a bit married to your hand.

Good point NL. I still think it might be though because villain has position in a HU hand and sometimes players will flat call a 3-bet because that way they'll get the c-bet too which is obviously coming, where instead a 4-bet might end the hand.

All this is even more so if hero has been LAG. Give him a chance to hang himself rather than folding cheaply. Either way it just looks like we're behind.
