Looks good to me. Nothing I would have done differently.

Bet more pre-flop, raise to $1.20 or so, the min-raise really achieves nothing.

The flop texture is ok, until you get min-raised, then the flop texture is brutal. C/C the turn is probably better than betting it, (pot control FYI) the Q counters a lot of 2-pair hands, if I was to bet a street then its probably the river.

What is your goal by betting the turn?

What is your goal by betting the turn?

I can't really remember what I thought of at the moment, and as I look back on it it looks totally wrong and stupid. My best bet is I thought he was full of it on the flop or maybe drawing and I could take the pot on the turn.

Was obviously wrong.

Agree totally with tenbobs advice. But Q on the river was a scare card for me at the time, I was thinking along the lines of Q (AQ maybe ? possibly even QJ) or maybe KQ. And they own the shit out of me.

You've each got what 80 cents left in your stacks on the river? You've come this far so you're not folding. The Q is actually a great card for you (as good as it can be on that board) so I'd just go ahead and throw my last few pennies in and hope he shows KJ. The min raise preflop is where I think you went astray. OOP you need to make that bet to at least $1.25. That way when you hit TPTK committing everything is a no-brainer.

Gotcha.
Yeah 80c sounds about right. Should've committed the rest really.
BTW after checks he showed JJ.

I think you guys are advocating playing this hand a little too aggressively, and I like tenbob's passive line. TPTK on this board is a pretty weak hand. And your 3-bet preflop is obviously too small.

I agree for the most part. That is not a good flop, but I think your draw makes it too good to fold to a min-raise. I would check the turn, but I wouldn't necessarily call. I'm looking for a good price to call on the turn. 75% pot or more and I'm probably folding. If the action goes passive on the turn, then I think there is some value in betting the river.

However, the biggest single problem is not reraising more preflop. Having only made a tiny reraise, you can't rule out hands like KT, QT, JT, or A-low of spades. Having not reraised more, the advice in the previous paragraph should be revised to be a little looser.

Wait... he checked his full house after you checked?

Maybe he had you on K/Q.

That's what i wanted to ask, so folding to a big raise here on the turn is not bad at all ?
