Sorry, stupid computer did not save the hand history but this just happened.

Just finished paying blinds for first time so no reads. You have $3.85 at the table and both players that call have over $10 each.

LP with :as4: :js4:

2 mp limpers, you raise to 50c and get called by both limpers. (pot is $1.60)
Flop is :ad4: :10h4: :5d4:

both check to you.

What is your bet if any and why?

I bet $1. They have both checked to you showing weakness. Without reads I am still cautious, but, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it was taken down here. A bet of 1$ will still allow you a little maneuverability. I wouldn't expect a call from both villains and a smooth call from one would still allow you to repop for $2.35 into a $3.50 pot which isn't horrible.

Id bet 3/4 pot so about $1 Also, considering I have no reads and both checked to me, you could take it down now or get called by a hand like Ace with a weaker kicker, but id be cautious nonetheless. :)

2 diamonds and 2 broadway cards -- multiple draws possible. You have to bet about 3/4 of the pot here. Be happy to take it down. No other raises preflop, the only hand I'd be worried about would be 55 or A10 suited. Nothing else seems likely to have you beat. And if someone has A5, well then you'll eventually get his money anyway.

i would go all in

Why? The idea is to explain your answer so that we can all learn together. I'm not saying that you are right or wrong, but, I would like to hear an explanation.

^^^^^This. Excellent analysis. Potentially 10/10 too.

I would push all in w/ whatever i had left because of the fact that there are str8 draws & flush draws out there.....don't want any suckouts w/o getting your $$$ in w/ what you might think is the best hand. Having top pair w/ good kicker when the pot is decent comparible to your own stack is enough to make me go all in & get the pot w/o having some suckout happen. If a suckout does happen, then @ least you knew you got your $$$ in w/ the best hand like you're taught to do.

Yeah, don't sit with anything significantly less than a full buyin - assuming you're a winning player overall it kills your winrate.

I don't really mind a shove here, but I usually bet $1-$1.50 here. Because we'd be commited enough to have to call a check-raise having bet though, we could just shove and be done with it, it's not terrible.

This situation is pretty much an exact example of why it's bad to sit with so little at a table and give yourself no room for maneuver.

$1 is the perfect amount. If one player calls there will be $3.60 in the pot. If both call, there will be $4.60 in the pot. With you having $2.35 left you'll have just enough to push them off of a draw if the turn comes a blank. ;) -Doorbread
