i was just in a hand, and it got me thinking,

I had AJoff suit, 5 from button or UTG+2, i limp, ultimately get beaten by SB K4off, and it got me to thinking, should AJ be raised from a position such as this, i didnt raise as i felt it was to early for what i consider to be a medium strength hand, see people with AJ win a million all in bets with AJ from early, and i also see a hundreds of players call any bet with AJ from late position, should i have raised?

Can you give us more details, Jason.

Personally, I might raise AJ from middle position, or flat-call as you did, or even fold it. Depends on whether we are talking ring game or tourney, size of blinds, size of stacks, player reads.

AJo in early position isn't a raising hand when deep-stacked. How could you lose to K4? Were you betting it without pairing your Ace or Jack? Were you betting your Jack with a King on the board? Pretty difficult to think of a situation where you would lose a large pot as described.
