I play in AA
aggressively, because I lost so many times when I played at a small bet, now I play make very big raises or go all-in and AA
then they pass perfectly and you need to play aggressively so as not to lose on AA!

The only thing I can see that you could do better is raise more preflop. A premium hand in most cases requires more than the standard 3X raise.

This is not true. I never size bigger than 3x pre in a cash game. 3x is a very standard open size

I am pretty sure that neither player is going to fold their hand either pre flop or after. They both think they had a good hand, too bad for river. Good move checking the river after he checked to you hoping you would raise for him.
Just an unlucky river.
I used to bet crazy with AA, and hope only AK would call. Then I thought standard bet, see if I can make some money. Just remember they are just a pair, but they are the biggest.
Depending on the players, they could just as easy call an all in here and still luck out on the river.

I would definitely make it a bigger raise. You can get the nits to call you with smaller pocket pair and KQ would come a long to in cash games.

Last night I was in a tourney and got AA, flop was KKA. One caller with a min bet, turn blank. I bet caller raises all in, I insta call. River is the K, other player had KQ, what can you do. Only way to stop that is to only bet the stone cold nuts, not really too many hands you would win are the stone cold, (no matter what comes next) nuts. I have seen more than a few pots won with a pair of deuces.

You do realise that this is the cash game analysis forum and not bad beats and variance?

Yes, this was a continuation of the other posts I was talking about. It goes to show that no matter how he bet his hand if the other player thought he had the better hand, he isn't folding. Notice I was not complaining at all. Just giving him support on his play.

I would say there was nothing wrong with your play, just bad luck. After all, what are the odds on a 1-outer coming on the river? really bad luck this time

it's hard to play

you have to bid big enough to get people to fold. but when it comes to free rolls it's hard to get people to fold. people will go all in with a 2,5 OS.

I say you played them well. You were getting value until they hit 1 of the 4 outs they had in the deck. I am checking back any river card. Be glad niether player bet, you probably have to pay them off.

Need to balance your ranges. You shouldn't always be playing a specific holding the same way every time.

It is very easy preflop, RAISE or RAISE MORE! On the flop that is when you need to make some decisions but most of them go along with raise more.

This. Not only I lost so much on bullets by trying to play it 'right' but I hate losing with pocket aces. It tilts me, but only if the villain(s) hits a lucky card.

When I go all-in, I know the risks beforehand and don't care as much if I lose it, because I know it was the right play at the time.

Occasionally, if I have a big stack in a tourney and I'm not in any danger of going too low, I'll limp to make people raise me and even slow play it. But that's because I'm an avid fan of bounty tourneys..

you might as well tattoo 'when i raise big pre i have KK or AA ' your forehead.

This. But, when you are at a table with a few very loose players. you might as well raise AA a lot more thatn 3bb preflop, heck make it 10BB, as villains gonna call anyway. River is a cooler. Moreso, as Q was covered by two players. Good river check ( and bad river checks from villains)
