Only played 20 hands wiht the villain at this point but the villain is pretty LAG at 30/28 but not at maniac level and seems to be able to fold post flop. I know I usually need some stronger reads but my hand is easy to play post flop.

I'm not all that crazy about 3-betting an UTG raiser, since they're very likely to have a solid hand. Even a LAG (that's good) will tighten their range UTG. I'm suprised you didn't get 4-bet.

I agree with C9, although I think just calling on the button is fine since you have a good implied odds hand against an aggressive opponent, and may be able to take the pot away from him on a flop that is unlikely to hit the pfr's range.

Agreed. Keep the pot small & use the fact that you know he has a fairly big hand to get down on some implied odds.

since you spoke in very general terms, i'll say this: if they are good i.e. positionally aware, they're going to credit you with a much stronger range when you 3bet their UTG raise for that exact reason

i mean in theory, only 3betting an UTG raise with really strong hands is obviously exploitable once your opponents realize it. that being said, this is 25NL FR where i'm not expecting my opponents to be masters of observation or exploiting tendencies. getting fancy here is overdoing it

Yeah, maybe if this were 200$ NL and we were 200 big blinds deep, it'd be better...
