:8d4: :8s4:at $50NL

you have about $50, villian is in the BB, this is his first hand(thats why hes in the BB). He has $50.

Folded to you on the button with :8d4: :8s4:

You raise to $2 and villian(BB) calls.

The Flop is:7s4: :10d4: :7c4:

Villian Checks, you fire $2 into the pot. Villian Calls.

The Turn is:9h4:
Villian Checks, what do you do? Theres only 2 choices, one is about 75% right and the other 25%(IMO!)

edit: the HTML card pics show up fine everywhere but the main index

wa/wb?

Check to induce 66 and under to bluff river, and to save $$$ vs any bigger pair/trips/FH/straight.

hmm, Tough one. I think I would check here and see what happens on the river. He might have A10 and be worried of an over pair or he might have hit his straight and is checking hoping you will bet again. I dont think he would check here again with a 7, with the draw out on the board, but who knows, ive seen stranger things. I would bet that he has a small PP as well here.

Check behind, get a free card and call the river if the villain bets. Bet the river if he checks. Bet, reraise if you make your straight on the river. Seems like WAWB situation.

Seems to me villain is either on a smaller PP or holding on to something like AT, KT, QT. If he's on TT or 99, 77, you're drawing dead.

You should bet more like $3.50 on the flop, and check the turn for pot control.

I don't think 66 will bet the river, but it might call a value bet if it's say [2c], since he would correctly assume that overcards are a big part of your range.

This is more of a sa/sb in that case (slightly ahead/slightly behind). A situation is only wa/wb when either you or your opponent has very small chances of winning if behind. Here, with the whole board drowning us in outs, and our opponent probably have 6+ outs to win if he's behind, that's not really the case.

(I don't see us winning much money on this hand no matter what we do, unless we're up against T-7 and we river an 8.)

I think your opening raise suggested to villian either PP or Big cards. Big cards dont help here so villian might figure you for pp in the middle cards range. If he doesn't know you he might consider u for suited connectors through that range also.

I think I would put 1/2 pot raise out there, expecting to take it down right there. Should he call he will be less tempted to bet out on the river without an A,K,or Q showing up. I would tend to save the check bet for the river, where he may be laying a trap.
Should you check here, you will give him the opportunity to represent anything your mind can conjure up. J8 or TT being the nightmares.
