7th hand seen at the table. On the 3rd hand rollone420 got a bad beat and has gone all in every hand since getting no callers. Since dazd didnt push Im thinking his hand isnt that great and Im getting pretty good odds to call this assuming that rollone420 could have any 2 possible cards.

It would be an easy call against the original raiser but the caller makes this much harder. The caller likely has a decent hand even if the original bettors range is any 2 cards. There is a chance you are up against 4 overcards or a bigger pair.

What does the caller call with but not raise with to force out other callers. AA plays this way since he would like another in the pot to try to make some more money. I'm not saying he has AA, just that his just calling doesn't necessarily mean he isn't strong. He's already put in half his money so you can't puch him out with a reraise.

I think the chances of 88 holding up against any 2 random hands is slim, I think this is a fold.

Well, 8 is statistically the middle of the deck (7.5 exactly I think) So, against 4 random cards, 2 overcards should exist. A pair against 2 overcards is roughly a 50-50 (push pair) to win, so getting 3:1 return on money makes sense to me.

Thats what I was thinking initially when I played the hand, but when it was over I realized that the first caller must have had atleast 2 overs on me and the all in guy would have 2 random cards, or 1 over, so Im up against 3 overs. Normally I fold this, but I was in a gambling mood though so I called and then shoved the favorable flop.
