Last round happygouleh raised from the CO with 9 6 offsuit and showed it after everyone folded. Anyway should I reraise here preflop? On the flop should I have just folded? I did have a gutshot straight draw but it was the small end of the straight. Should I have just checked the river?

A question: what made you decide to flat call pre-flop? What kind of flop were you hoping for?

(OK, so that's two questions. But anywho...)

I'm fine with everything right up till the moment you bet on the river. There is a possible flush and a 9 completes the str8. Betting for value on the end makes no sense. The preflop call is fine if you'll get paid off hitting your set. The flop and river bets were so small you almost had to call because there was some chance your sevens were good, but betting on the end was bad. Basically you're only getting called by hands that beat you.

Yeah looking back it was very stupid, I rarely make bets like this idk what I was thinking. I figured I might get a call from something like Ace ten, King ten, Ace 8 or King 8.

Can we please fix this damn converter?

What is this, 25nl?

If so, pf is fine for set mining, but if he's a lag I probably 3-bet it a good chunk of the time for post and preflop fold equity.

Flop - just fold. What cards will really help you? A 9? A 7? Really you're drawing to no clean outs here and aren't ahead often enough to call down imo as that board just hits too many hands.

Anyways a 9 gives you the idiot end of the straight, a 7 fills a straight for a 9, and the 7h fills a possible flush as well as the straight. Just fold flop.

I know what you were thinking. "Yes, hit my set. Damn that board sucks. O Well maybe I'll get lucky." I've been there. It really sucks when you finally hit your hand and you know it's no good. And if these guys are calling on that board with a single pair (or even 2 pair) at least you're table selection was good.

Pre flop seems fine since you are getting the implied odds, with 2 deep stakes playing.

I agree with chuck when it comes to folding the flop. Although we are getting gazillion to one odds to call, we can only imagine we are drawing to runenr runner full house. We have no clean outs on that flop so i fold it.

Also dont value bet that river, what are you going to be called by? A jack would have re raised flop, any other pair will fold. You wil lonly be called by a straight flush or another set. With the river bet, we are praying to be called by pocket twos.
